Viruses on XJW-central mailing list?Jun 06, 2002 I got on the XJW-central email list and for the last few days some of the messages look pretty suspicious.
The 2 attachments are "DETLOG.EXE" and "DETLOG.TXT" and I'm including the .txt file in this post:
Shocking since I've yet to find anything on this list about 'Central' prior to this
Also, because I don' have any members on 'Central' known as 'Bendrr'
And THIRD because the day BEFORE this post the following post appeared on the list,
explaining to circumstances of the young lady who had the problem AND that she was
unsubbing until she got her PC fixed

Dear Friends,
It seems the virus has damaged my PC & I am going to have to take it into the shop to get it fixed.
(It ate my address book too!) We have no extra money for repairs at this time, as I have oral surgery
scheduled for June 26 and minor skin surgery scheduled for August 2, you know how those bills go.
So I have decided to give up my ISP for the summer, to save money since I won't be able to use it anyway.
I hope to be back online by September 1st, 2002 ~ Lord willing ~ so I am leaving the groups up and open for
that reason.
Leaves me to wonder what Bendrr's motives were for posting this HERE since he or she didn't raise any concerns
over on the List in question . . . when he or she had every opportunity to do so, either by mailing his concern to the list or
to me privately or BOTH.

In Ps. 111:9 -- which is the only place in the KJV where the word "reverend" appears, the term refers to holiness. And since our mandate from Him is:

maybe having a title that honors Him, and that honors the beauty of holiness ain't so bad.

Actually you are wrong. The usual internet convention is to transliterate the Greek eta with an 'h' and not an 'e' which is reserved for epsilon.
Actually YOU are wrong. An 'eta' is a LONG E. So regardless to what the "internet convention" might be, from a pronunciation standpoint, 'e' would be correct. The 'h' is used -- NOT becausse of some non-existent "internet convention" but because English language word-processors tranlsate the 'h' into 'eta' when you convert any font to "Greek' or "symbol"
Vine's Expository Dictionary also says:

Many CHristians avoid going from door to door because they don' want to be mistaken for JWs
Personally, I fall into the category of those who find it revolting -- I have too MANY terrible memories of the vicious things 'householders' can do . . .
But when I have gone out I have made it my point to wear my Roman collar and a BIG Gold Cross, so there won't be any mistakes! (Not carrying a big ol' book bag wearing a hokey suit helps, also!)
