scrolling through the news this morning and i couldn’t help to think we are light years from any leaders crying out peace and security.
jws are going to have to wait another decade or two and see how things develop before they get excited about armageddon coming in their lifetime.

Yes and people just starting to feel a bit more financially secure after the financial crash in 2008 , now more people losing their jobs and more in fear of job losses in the months ahead because of the covid19 crisis.
And governments borrowing billions to assist people which will have to be paid for so possible higher taxes etc
Yes a decade or more before people will fill secure again .
just before the pandemic affected my area, a couple of jws came to my door.
this was the first time i didn't tell them to hit the road but instead had a pleasant conversation with them.
i never revealed that i am a former jw, nor do i ever want the jws in my area to know that i was ever one.
Why not say you were discussing the encouraging letter you received with a work colleague , friend etc and they raised such and such a issue and could they confirm it to true or false.

i can't overstate how unthinkable it is that the service should publicly criticise the government of the day.. boris' defense of cummings is a huge error in judgement and will destroy its credibility.

I'm sure other people have 2nd home's that they would have liked to recuperate in but headed the advice not to make any unnecessary travel.

Why was Boris Johnson allowed to travel to his second home chequers when he has a two bedroom flat above no 10 .
No wonder he can't criticize Dominic Cummings.

Another time a couple came in the k/hall on a Thursday night under the influence of drink with cans of beer and they sat at the back of the hall just chatting among themselves then there was a question and answer item and the man put his hand up and the bro took his hand and he then went on a drunken ramble.
