  What`s the reason some of you think JW`s are in decline ?

  from what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.

  Jesus true disciples are not just ones that show love to each other. Matthew 5:46-48 how to correctly identify true Christian’s. You have to imitate the way that Jesus showed love. Was he selective with who showed love to? Did he shun people? Would have turned a blind eye to child abusers? Would he have encouraged people to engage in child sacrifice because because of a blood doctrine?

  JWs love is more like a mirage. It looks ok from a distance. But when you get up close and take a proper look, you realise there nothing there.

  True Christian love should be shown at all times and to all people.

  Is 1914 still a major belief in JW land ? Or has it been abandoned ?

  My old congregation is being shuttered

  i just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.

  it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.

  the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.

  Wow! Sad state of WT these days. Same happened to my old cong in 2018. Two neighbouring congs merged because they both lost half their members. This religion is sinking fast

  for some my view can be unacceptable for others can be useful.

  in fact it can be answer to the question: why am i still even bother what's is going on in this obviously corrupt organization?

  scholar and fisherman, i started this thread because i didn't want to highjack the one in regard to 588/568.. i just wanted to ask if you were both current active jw's that believe the jw's beliefs?.

  do y'all believe the gb are the f&ds?

  if the answers are no, then why do y'all defend so passionately the date 607?

  I find it curious that Scholar seems to avoid topics other than 607 and 1914.

  Why don't you discuss the trumpet blasts Scholar? Do you belive they have anything to do with Conventions such as 1922 Cedar Point Ohio etc?

  1914 is bogus for so many reasons. Jesus told us told his disciples that he was already king in the 1st century.

  Matthew 28:18 - Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

  Simple. No need for any complicated JW interpretations. End of discussion.

  AwakenJw website has put together a timeline for Jurusalems destruction and related prophecies. As you can see there is no magical 20 year gap. Its literally impossible.
