I figured as much, I was just taking the opportunity to voice my stand on it once again. You have no idea how many emails I get a day asking why I split off from silentlambs. So I take every chance I can get to try and show that just isn't the case. Some people are probably sick of hearing it but hopefully one of these days the general population will get an idea as to what the full picture is, without me making a big 'stink' about it. As for ties between silentlambs and LambsRoar, don't hold your breath, I don't ever see it happening. It's a one way street, you might say. But, on the other hand you never know. At one point I thought perhaps if everyone talked to Bill about it and voiced their opinions maybe he'd change his mind, but many many people have and he won't budge. Unless he has some sort of revelation you can bet it will never happen. I think the value of us working together would be enormous, but since that isn't happening, we can only go forward as best as we can. LambsRoar doesn't need silentlambs to grow, it'll do that on it's own, and we will be a great support system for one another in our healing. The sad question is, how many people will slip through the cracks while we grow?

I'm probably really outaline here, but isn't there a way to "semi-merge" Lambsroar with SIlentLambs
At the expense of sounding like a broken record :) LambsRoar is trying it's best. We still promote silentlambs and we still carry links to silentlambs.org and that's all we can do for the time being. Bill should know, and everyone should know, we're ready and willing to cooperate at any time, and we're here for the cause in whatever way we're needed.

Is there not some way the great minds on this board could work together in behalf of the survivors of abused?
That would certainly seem like a great plan to me. As I have mentioned, LambsRoar is looking to put a Board of Directors together. As we were talking about in this thread:

we have some good things happening, and I am certainly willing to put LambsRoar out there for the needs of the Abuse Survivors, since that's exactly who this is for. We're certainly not looking to take the place of silentlambs, but rather to compliment the effort. Anyone interested in working together on this project, please email me. As I've said from the beginning, we are Abuse Survivors FOR Abuse Survivors, and sometimes you have to take steps to 'help yourself', and that's exactly what we're doing. We do support the silentlambs cause, but there's only so much one organization can do. Sometimes resources must be spread out slightly without spreading too thin. And as always, we're interested in the comments and suggestions of the Lambs. This project is ours and ours alone, and we will grow according to our own needs. Sorry Simon, this is starting to sound like a commercial so I'll leave it at that :)

Whats Lambsroar? Rev.Mak is doing a wonderful job of putting together a forum for abuse victims - or haven't you seen it? It would be nice if those 2 forums would work together - SilentLambs for the organizational/media side & Lambsroar solely for the victims.
Thank you pettygrudger, we're trying our best. And thank you also for noting that we're not 'competing' with silentlambs, but trying our best to help out. We know that this is all alot to handle for any one man. We have some exciting things coming as well, including a new addition coming to the site hopefully in the next week. We've been able to get our hands (so to speak:) on a class act Therapist, who's won several awards and has achieved national recognition for techniques he's developed in dealing with Post Traumatic Stress, and is an expert in several issues we as Abuse Survivors are dealing with every day, not to mention issues that all ex-cult members are dealing with. We'll have a Q&A section set up for him, as well as opportunities for one on one online therapy, and perhaps even group therapy as well, depending on our needs. We're trying our best to bring in what we need, when we need it, but one day at a time.

I've been sitting on my hands for weeks. I think most will agree that I have shown professionalism in these regards. There just comes a time when enough is enough. While I understand and agree with your comments, I'd also like to note that this hasn't happened to you, so it's real easy for you to say that. What I mean by that is I've been put in this position of not really knowing when to speak or whether I should speak about this. On one hand one could say that my silence is hurting me, and others might say the opposite. Believe me, I receive several contrary opinions in my email box daily.
The point still remains, for a person who is supposedly working for abuse survivors, are these things ethical? Are they helping or hurting?
Is silentlambs going in the right direction? I think it's gotten a bit off course, but not so far that it can't be corrected. But who's going to correct it? And what happens if no-one does? I'm merely asking questions and giving my opinion because I care. I wouldn't be here right now if I didn't.

By getting the GB to change its wrong policies, or to put the GB out of business, WHATEVER IT TAKES, must be Silentlambs primary goal.
And what makes you think silentlambs will accomplish this? You will NEVER take them down, NEVER. If you think you will, you're fooling yourself. Furthermore, even if it is possible, attacking the feeble GB will do nothing. You have to get the word out to the people, even if you have to resort back to door knocking.
There's two things you can do here. Support the Abuse Survivors by providing resources for their healing, and public awareness. You can fight them till you're dead, but it won't make a difference. They're worth how many billions of dollars? You really think you'll take them down? I'm not saying that we shouldn't be fighting them, but we need more goals than that my friend. To think that one organization cannot take on several forms is ludicrous. If Bill hadn't alienated most of us, can you imagine the team he'd have right now? He doesn't need to oversee everything involved, that's what a Board of Directors is for, yet he refuses to appoint a BoD.
The main concern of this cause should be to fight the Watchtower, because if even one person is saved along the way, it'll be all worth it. But to make the destruction of the Watchtower your primary goal is just plain stupidity, IMHO. You need support for those that fall through the cracks.....those that we can't protect, because helping them once they've been exposed HAS to be a primary concern. Or should we say "oops, we missed that one" and forget about them? Of course not, because then we're here to just destroy a religion. And then what happens if you were to succeed? The pedophiles run to the Catholics, or the Mormons? Are you going to take them down too?
Come on, let's be realistic, fighting the Watchtower should be a concern, but right along side public awareness programs and providing resources for current survivors, victims, and for the future 'Lambs"

That'll never happen. He refuses to appoint a Board of Directors, and continues to alienate everyone around him. It's NOT going to happen, so what now?
He spends his time writing ridiculous letters to the GB that's getting him nowhere, and will never get him, OR us anywhere. This plan is not working, can't we see this by now? He's trying to chop the tree down from the top and it doesn't work that way, but that's the only way that gets his face on TV, so that's the only way he'll go. We need to wake up or forget about the entire thing, because the way it's going, I give it till Spring before the Bill show is off the air. One of these times he's going to screw up real big in the public eye, and not another person will listen to any of us, so are we going to sit back and wait for that day??
What about the Abuse Survivors? Where's all the support he promised us God knows how long ago? Is this helping any of us heal? NOT ME, that's for sure. He's done nothing but use me, then used all of his efforts to make me look like a crook. Yet I'm the one out here saying "Go ahead, investigate all you want". I'm generally a private person, but for this I am willing to put myself out on the line to prove to anyone who cares to know, that this is all insanity. He's gone to every one of my online friends to slander me. He's told everyone that's close to me "It's either him or me". Come on, talk about causing divisions....
What kind of man does these things? Everyone should be asking themselves this right now.

Trauma: His last response to me in e-mail was telling me to investigate Matt aka Revmalk, even though I didn't mention him, because he's now accusing Matt of being a criminal, with a record. What does that have to do with anything, I wasn't talking about Matt at all.
This is really starting to upset me. Day in and day out I have these same reports, and for the sake of the cause I have been trying my hardest to keep my mouth shut. I've had it with Mr. Bowen. When I discussed this with my personal attorney, he said to go after the guy. I said no, it's not good for the cause. But Bill is backing me into a corner, and if I hear one stinking more report of this kind I WILL come out swinging, so if anyone cares to let Mr. Bowen know this in advance, I'd suggest getting ahold of him ASAP. He's slandered, libeled and defamed my name, and I will stand for it no longer.
I also invite anyone who wishes to investigate me in whatever way you wish, to do so. Hell, email me and I'll give you whatever information you'd like to get you started. I am NOT a criminal, I DO NOT HAVE A RECORD, and I certainly don't appreciate the accusations day by day. Bill is a hurtful man, he's lost his sanity, and he is no good for this cause, point blank. Any man who publicly defames the name of anyone, let alone an Abuse Survivor is just as bad as the Watchtower, maybe worse. I might get slammed plenty for this, but you people have to know that I have been very reserved over this issue under the circumstances, and I'm at the end of my rope. How can any one of you stand by and allow this to happen to one person after another? Some of you say "Well, we can overlook it because he's done so much good..". Let me tell you something, no good comes from this, no good can grow out of a foundation of deceit and lies. You can all mark my words, he WILL destroy this cause. Not just silentlambs, but the entire cause. Realize that he is paving the way in the public eye, so what are you going to do, sit by and watch him destroy everything we've worked so hard for? Are you going to allow him to destroy the years of work that others have done way before he came into this picture? If he's allowed to continue this way, he will ruin everything, and there will be no cause. No-one will take anyone serious that comes behind him.......all will be lost. At the expense of being unpopular, this needed to be said. You people that eat this up are going to be just as guilty as he is. Take control of this situation, and do it now, before it's too late.
By the way, for anyone who still speaks to the guy, can someone ask him why he'd send me a certified letter that contains nothing? Meaning an empty certified envelope.

HELP!!! Hubby turning home into 'Book Study'
by Skeptically Yours inmy husband, who's a ministerial servant, was approached by an elder and asked if he'd offer our home to become a 'book study' meeting place.. i'm a bit of a loner, and need lots of peace, quiet, privacy, and solitude; plus to boot you all know i'm living this sort of double life, you know, just doing the very minimum to remain a witness.. this is awful!!!!!!!!!!
