by silentlambs init has been brought to my attention that there may be a major scandal working in the billings montana area.
it involves more than ten elders in a motel room at the district convention this summer and 14-16 year old girls.
my information source says there is more to come with possible charges being filed, but key jw's work for social services there and are involved in the investigation.

Well......I don't think Bill did anything "wrong", and I certainly could see this happening. However, we do need to keep a level head AND for the sake of the girls, we do need to investigate. I don't know if Bill believes this to be true or not, but how do you investigate? You ask questions. He plainly stated he was looking for information, which is exactly what he should be doing. As long as he hasn't run to the press with it, he's done the right thing. We don't have a "Secret" society here, and unfortunately information and request for information has to be in public. On one hand it helps but in most cases it hurts, I'm sad to say.The Watchtower has an edge here, and everywhere. They're hiding behind a 150+ year wall of deceit, which makes our jobs even more difficult. However, we have the truth on our side, and we must seek out as much truth as we can if we ever intend on helping the Lambs. I think some people are missing the point of the silentlambs organization. It's not here to defraud and deceive, it's here to help the innocent.....Those harmed in the past and to save others from the harm of the future. The silentlambs cause is "targeted", for the most part towards one organization, but its intent is not to destroy that organization just for being who they are, or for any reason. I certainly am not a spokesperson for silentlambs, but these are the what I gather the goals of the organization:
1. Support for the Silent Lambs
2. Promote Public knowledge on Watchtower Policy
3. Change the views/policies of the Watchtower
4. Investigate possible abuse (if for no other reason, to help the other 3 issues)
Like I said, I am not a spokesperson for silentlambs, and of course it's a bit more complicated than I've stated here, but the point I'm trying to make is that this isn't (or shouldn't be) a movement to destroy an entire religion. I think worlds are colliding (George/Seinfeld) on this board - So many people have so many agendas and they're becoming intertwined. Some want the destruction of the Watchtower at any expense, some don't wish for them to be destroyed at all, some want to see change and some don't care at all and just need a place to heal for whatever reason. I think we need to keep in mind the agenda of Bill and the silentlambs when we read these posts. Bill has a job to do, point blank. He's taken on quite a bit, he has alot on his plate, and he could use the help of all of us. But it seems like he gets dogged when he tries. He may not always be right, and I'm sure he even appreciates some constructive criticism. But the way I look at it, if we're not helping the cause, and helping the lambs, then we should be careful what we say. I personally think that for Bill's sake he should appoint a Board of Directors, and he should have an attorney because this is a sticky situation and the first chance the Watchtower gets, they'll be all over him.
One thing I've noticed as well. When someone makes a statement or comment, or even asks a questions, board members jump all over it as it's fact. Whether it is or not, Bill never made that statement. What happens here is, one person asks a question, investigating a possible abuse situation, and then some view it as fact, others view it as false, and then everyone argues about it instead of trying to find the truth of the matter. So, if we put all our argumentative energy into finding the truth, we might just be able to either end the discussion, or expand on the issue and do some real good here (if it's true).
Has anyone contacted the District Attorney's office? Has anyone done any investigating at all?

Waiting, That's an excellent point, but it's also not good to run around accusing a certain sect (cult) of things that may or may not have attributed. I was a JW for years and I never killed my kids. Of course I never molested them either. I'm thinking that I may have missed something along the line, and I will do some reading on the case. I'm almost afraid to look. I don't know anything about this, but was he brought before the Elders on the molestation issue? Was he punished? Was he reported to the Authorities? The answers to these questions is what I fear. Obviously these are retorical, as I'm going to look into it before I state any further opinion. I do agree with your statement, but it does go both ways. I worry that pointing fingers in the wrong direction may hurt the cause rather than help. If we all look like a group of idiots, it only helps their case. On the other hand, if the finger needs pointing in that direction than we all need to do what we can. As I've said before, this is the first time I've seen a legitimate cause against the Watchtower......cause enough to act on anyway. I can't help but feel from day to day that there's more that I could be doing, and I'm sure there are plenty of us that feel the same way. The ball is rolling, it's time to kick it through the goal. We can't waiver and we can't fail, and the only way to accomplish our goal is to keep level heads.

Well, I don't know how the Watchtower can be blamed for any of this. There's not a religion on the planet that doesn't instill some sort of fear. I mean a Catholic would fear Hell (along with most religions). Although if he were Catholic he could have run down to the Church to confess, do his hail Mary's and Our Fathers and then blow his head off thinking he was ok with God. I personally prefer him to be alive and in custody.......If he has any sanity at all he'll be dealing with some real crap now. He can Pray to Jehovah right up till he gets the needle, and then we can all take a sigh of relief. No, I am not a Mormon, BUT, I do believe in that portion of what they believe, haha. Actually there are quite a few of their Doctrine that I head BEFORE I ever talked with them. I DO NOT believe they are the true Church and they have not once wavered any belief I had/have held through my own studies and prayer. Are they more messed up than JWs? Not a chance, at least they have an excuse for all their craziness......One thing that always bugged me about the Watchtower....Who the hell made them boss? I would respect them more if that claimed God came and appointed them. Does anyone here think you can appoint yourselves as the saviors of the world? When the true prophet comes I always imagined it would be of a more divine and spiritual nature, not just theory.
I do want to clarify one thing.
I DID NOT ATTACK THE BIBLE!
I believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God, but I also believe it's been changed, mistranslated, misunderstood and mishandled. If you don't believe that this is possible, than how can you believe the JWs have done it? If JWs are NOT the Prophet of God, than why would he allow them to screw up the Bible and no-one else in History? Makes no sense at all, so with this information, how can you trust the Book word for word?
As for the "Prophet" I am awaiting, it could come in whatever form, whether it be a religion, a person, an angel, whatever it may be it's a prophet to me. (hey, I'm going to write a song).
As for the three separate beings theory, there's a lot of people that believe that.....I believe they are one only in the same sense as man and wife are one.....one in purpose, but three separate entities....Nothing unusual.
I do believe that Jehovah came to Earth as Jesus, and that's why his name isn't mentioned in the NT (although that is not why I believe this, just a little extra to back up my theory in my own head). I certainly am not one to tell someone else they're wrong, because I feel that's wrong in itself. Until God appoints ME< or I witness God appointing someone else, it's not up to me to force any theory down anyone's throat and anyone that does that has some answering to do to Christ on Judgement day (Again, in MY opinion)
So, I don't claim to have the answers and probably never will, we all account for our own, bottom line, and if I ever pushed my opinion on anyone else, and was wrong, God help me.....and anyone that does that should think twice unless God Himself has spoken to them.

Well, for personal reasons I can't really say where I am, but I've spent some time in the New York City, Orange County, Washington State, Maine, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, and some other places as well.
I'm not afraid of the organization, that's not why I can't tell, it's a personal thing, and NO I am not wanted......not in most states anyway, haha.

by Jim Dee inan emergency meeting has been called by jack dowson at london bethel.
all co's and do's were recalled yesterday and are meeting at 2pm today in bethel (most have left the visiting congregations in limbo.
the meeting is today(starts at 2pm), tomorrow and finishing on friday at 12 noon.

Ok, I got to thinking about this......
If Jim is correct, but has no proof, or does not display the proof, that means there's a really good reason for it. In which I have my own speculations. It would seem to me then, that providing more information on this would put him in a sticky situation, which is no good for any of us. So, if this is true, as Bill says, then by all means keep the information coming and tell us what you can when you can. The problem is, however, that it's impossible for any of us to know for sure. But even still, it's fun to hear this stuff, and I for one don't want to lose any of this information. Again, I don't believe anything until I see proof, but for entertainment purposes, it's fun to have. So, for what it's worth, it's really cool, if it's really true.......Hey I'm a damn poet.
