So God is responsible for exposing priests who raped children decades ago?
I suppose God decided it was not worth intervening on the actual action of rape, and felt it was alright to allow the child to be sexually abused. He allowed that to happen.
But he sure is the one who saw to it that the facts came to light 30 years later!
JT, Excellent point. I had a big long response, but lost it. Point is, God doesn't need an organization to change things. This cause, whether it be through silentlambs or other means will not fail by the power of the good in mankind. The cause is here because we're sick of waiting on the Watchtower God, so why bring him in now? If he lends a hand, great, if not there must be a reason. Even if God isn't intervening for whatever reason, he's sure not against us. We'll prevail one way or another because we have the right on our side.

President Bush's speech
by Mulan ini wanted to hear the president's speech tonight, but can't stand listening to the man.
he has a prepared speech but he keeps saying nuc-you-lar instead of nuc-le-ar.
i can't stand it.. you would think his people would walk him through correct pronunciation.

How many more women was Clinton going to rape and abused? I certainly do not want a rapist or a man who uses his power of the public offices he voted in for forcing himself on women who don't want to have sex with him. Whoa! Hold on......why are we accusing the man of being a rapist?????
Is there something I'm unaware of, or was that a totally rediculous statement? In my opinion, (if that was unfounded) this is just as disrespectful to our Nation as Clinton himself.

nowaytess it's amazing why people would dwell on his sex life, let me ask you this, what right do you have to force your morals on Clinton? Don't you think it was up to his wife? It's funny noone else in this entire world cared about this, accept the republicans. I'd rather have a president getting a blow job, then one that would be quick to use a war machine. It's funny we did nothing to stop pakistan or india from getting nukes, and I'm more afraid of them using them, than Iraq, which hasn't been proven to have any at all, and pakistan houses alot of terrorist groups. Hell Israel has nukes, and they aren't any better then any other country in that region, and we give them over 5 billion a year.
I also made mention to the man's sex life, but in reality that's none of my business. What is my business is that he decided he HAD to do this in the oval office. I think we have a right to judge when someone disrespects our country and what it stands for. But even besides that fact, everyone has a right to their own opinion, otherwise you'd have had no right to have an opinion on that opinion (see how that works?)
As for Bush and his war machine, what way would you have it? Take a chance on a big fat nuke landing square on your head? Whether Saddam has them at this moment or not means nothing, we know he's in the market. So what's the difference between Saddam having these toys and Pakistan, India and Israel? Well, I'm personally not all that comfortable with that either, but at least they're not showing immediate signs of being a US threat. Sharon, however, is someone to worry about in my opinion, he's a madman and he's dangerous. Israel is a classic example of allowing things to go too far, we should have shut them down a long long time ago. So what are we to do with Saddam? A guy who kills his own people testing his warfare, a man who shows remarkable resemblance to Adolph Hitler (with 1/10 of the intelligence). I say shut him down, shut them all down before it's too late. The only thing I worry about, is that Bush tends to flap his lips a bit too much to too many powers.....I agree he might better take it easy and fight one battle at a time. So....Let's start with Saddam, and do it quickly before China and Russia have their way with us (which is inevitable in my opinion). At this point in history I think we can start chanting "Stay Alive till 2005!" (30 year Anniversary, haha), and if China hasn't destroyed us by then we can count ourselves lucky, and you can't blame Bush for that, they want to take everyone out, we're just a World Power standing in their way, and we're top on the list of several others (Japan, Taiwan, etc). The world is a mess, it's time to choose our weapons, and may the best side win.

My eyes and heart are open for Christ, for when he decides to lead me. I've looked and looked, can't find a thing (almost got Baptized a Mormon, but didn't). If it's out there God will show me, if it's coming, he'll let me know when he arrives.

I couldn't tell you if God is helping silentlambs or not, but I do know that good and right often times can conquer the evil, so whatever power is behind all that might just be helping the cause. I don't think that silentlambs MUST have the backing of God to succeed (although it sure would be nice), I think that the good in human kind in general is what silentlambs needs above all. This isn't a God thing, this is a moral issue, and a safety issue. One thing that needs to be stressed is that the general public needs to know, at whatever cost or sacrifice. No matter what anyone thinks of Bill or the organization, anyone who cares needs to be involved for the lambs, lambs of the past.....lambs of the future. And if people do not wish to back the silentlambs organization, than by all means find a way to spread the word. Next time you go into the market, place flyers in the doorway. Next time you're near a laundry mat, leave flyers. Next time you run across a Watchtower magazine, leave a flyer inside, write the web address of silentlambs.org right on the cover. Take out Newspaper ads (sometimes locally owned Pennysaver type papers will run ads for non-profit orgs for free!). Hell, rent a billboard if you can afford it. Whatever it takes, anything and everything. This is the way it'll work and succeed, by never wavering from your convictions, never giving up. If we all put our entire lives into this and save even one child, it's all worth it.
This is the time for the lambs, let's not fail them. If you believe in God, pray like you've never prayed, if you don't, pray anyway just in case. Tell your friends and neighbors, and ask them to tell at least three other people (Ross Perot rip-off). If you feel that Bill needs to do something differently, email him, make suggestions. If you think he needs help, email him and volunteer. If you feel silentlambs is going nowhere than promote in your own way, just do it so you can sleep at night, and do it so the lambs can too.
my 2 cents, maybe more

President Bush is the greatest leader this country has seen since Nixon. Who cares how his speech is, no-one is perfect. Some people are good speakers, some aren't. IMO I'd rather trust a president that does good by his people rather than some smooth talking Full of Crap BS'er. He's alright in my book, and until he screws up, he's still got my vote. Should he disarm Iraq? Absolutely! Disarm everyone, it'll only make things better for us in the end, and you can thank Clinton for all this, him with his "Let's all be friends" attitude. Ya, so he has more time for disgracing our Nation. We finally have a somewhat wholesome person in the white house that wants to clean up. God Bless him!
I haven't noticed, but does he know how to pronounce "Saddam" better than his Dad?

Simon, Well said. Running this board for years, I'm sure you've run into similar problems. It's impossible to please everyone all the time, and it's impossible to be perfect. Some people just don't get it, it's just too easy to dish out criticism. Sometimes it's needed, in a CONSTRUCTIVE way. I myself feel for Bill right now. He's worked hard here, and no-one can take that away from him. He makes one little move that may not be popular and everyone is all over him, calling him names and acting like children. Shame on them, it's embarrassing. If you have an opinion, by all means state it, in a respectful manner. If you disagree, the same goes.
By the way, if anyone knows of a way to please everyone all the time, please let me know, I'm looking to rule the world.

Ok, I think this is all getting out of hand. I think there's many misunderstandings and misconceptions. I don't really have an opinion on the letter except that I know this has been Bill's procedure from day one, now all of a sudden people seem to have a problem with it. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but I think everyone needs to calm down. Farkel is right, we're all looking like idiots right about now in a public forum, good move, makes me proud. We have to look at this from different angles. We have a certain group of people who agree 100%, and we have a certain amount of people who disagree 100% and in between they should meet. It seems as though those that disagree are having more of a problem with Bill having 100% control over what happens, when, and what tactics are used. Maybe you have a point, maybe you don't. I do know one thing, this is alot for one man to manage. You can't argue that point. silentlambs has in my opinion spun somewhat out of control, or in better words, grown out of its britches. This is a good thing people! In almost two years this is the first (correct me if I'm wrong) major disagreement regarding silentlambs and its tactics. So where do we go from here? Well, first we have to realize this isn't about Bill Bowen, he's just the one that had the initiative, means and bravery to head up such an organization. There's not a one of us that could have handled this better or that could have made no mistakes along the way. silentlambs is growing, this means there will be more room for scrutiny and more room for error. Again, it's alot for one man to handle, and it will be getting worse. Now, how do we solve all this ridiculous bickering? I don't claim to have all the answers, but I do know we all have choices. Has the time come for a board of directors to ease the stress and responsibility that now lays on Bill? That's ultimately up to him, whether anyone likes it or not. The organization is obviously for the Lambs, and no-one else (except of course future lambs), BUT, it was all started through Bill, and no-one can make a decision like that except Bill. I'm not offering my opinion on the matter at all, but like I said, we all have choices. We must choose whether to back up this organization or not, no-one can choose for us. Will we always agree with decisions made by Bill or even a board of directors? No, of course not, it would never happen. So what choice do we have? Of course we can offer our opinions, and hope for the best if we disagree, but please, a private message (especially if you're planning on ridiculing someone) is always best. I've said it before, the Watchtower has the upper hand, they have a secret society hidden behind a 150+ year wall of deceit. What do we have? A public forum where anyone and everyone knows our every move.......So why make ourselves look more foolish than they already think we are? Why feed their pride with doing exactly what they say we'll do.....destroy ourselves. I keep reading statements like:
"Bill needs to grow up....." | "Bill is acting like a child....."
And is there any of us that aren't? This entire thread is ridiculous, everyone squabbling like children. There's nothing wrong with posting an opinion on something as long as it doesn't make us all look like idiots, and I for one am embarrassed. We're all adults here, we know how this works, grow up for crying out loud.
