  "Directing" vs. "Allowing" ...

  here are just a few thoughts to discuss and to keep myself distracted for now.. there are only two organizations that routinely reward and bless major screw-ups:.

  1) government agencies.

  2) the watchtower society.

  >Here's another case in point that Gedanken told me yesterday over coffee: the society has published a number of experiences where people were being bothered with "demons" until they started studying and became dubs. HOW STUPID ARE THESE DEMONS, ANYWAY? Why did these idiotic demons do stuff to drive people INTO the Watchtower religion? I've never heard any examples of anyone being driven OUT of the Watchtower religion because of demons, and then have the demon attacks go away right after they left? One would think that if demons were so interested in the dub religion that there would be countless examples told of suchs experiences. After all, demons want to get dubs OUT of "Jehovah's Organization," don't they? Then, why are they working so hard to get people INTO that organization based upon the experiences I've seen?

  It's stuff to think about, eh?

  i notice that many people here have claimed that "god is not a murderer.

  god does not condone or plan the brutal murder of children!

  Like many other ex-JWs, you contine to believe the slander about REAL Christianity yet you accept the fact that they lie about everything else. What is it, the old "I will never go anywhere except the Kingdom Hall" syndrome? And BTW, what is wrong with a vigorous defense of the faith and God?
  I don't accept your rules you are not painting me into a 'no win' with your tactics and theatrics. I will go after you as hard as needed to make my point. 'Dubs need to wake up and realize just how little they really know about valid theology.
  I admit that there are things we'd like clarified but we have the example of Jesus Christ and His life on earth to show us what God is really like. He is the 'exact representation of God'.
  The original point I was making was speculation about God's intent, the veracity of those who wrote the accounts and the fact that the Amalekites....and mankind, have brought their own judgement about. Your, nor any other created being can judge your creator and His actions.
  I don't know you but I have seen numerous other examples of ex-JWs turned atheist and the mantra is always the same, "Why does God allow or do, this and that"? It's all a moot point since He determines each of our life spans and WHO He calls to salvation.
  It's also a moot point since Jesus Christ lived, was killed, resurrected and confirmed His deity. Therefore any objection or scientific claim against scripture is already in error.
  The miraculous advent in the outermost fringe of the Roman Empire would not have stirred up humanity without being true. He would have been forgotten, just as several other Jewish 'messiahs' were!
  The soul is eternal and you are only here for a short time. At least open your mind up and experience real worship and Biblical teaching before you decide that the Bible is not the word of God.....just because you can't explain it all.

  Can I share a great experience with you all?

  just wanted to pass along a recent experience that has helped open my eyes about many things.

  i wasn't going to share this with the db but with all of the crap going on around here lately i thought it might be nice to post something that i found to be uplifting.

  a few of you that i exchange emails with already know that my leukemia came out of remission recently.

  Please, go talk to a pastor and ask about the plan of salvation. Briefly, if you use a decent translation, go to Romans. 3.23; 6.23; 10.9-11; John 3.3; 3.16,17; 14.6; Ephesians 2.8,9; Rev. 3.20. If you decide to pray pay special attention to Romans 10.9-11 as a basis for that prayer. Feel free to e-mail me, may God be with you!

  i believe i have set the wheels in motion for what i believe will lead to my disfellowshiping.

  i have been inactive since 1987 and still getting along with the witnesses (invited to gatherings etc.

  ) but something came up that finally push my buttons just enough to make me explode.

  Don't whine to me about "Christian's wouldn't do this or that", remember "offspring of vipers"?

  You just stay cozy in your little no-account atheist cocoon until you are the one being judged. When your knee is bowed you will acknowledge the King of Kings, even as you finally realize what you have an eternity to look forward to.

  BBoy,
  You are a liar in the form of exaggeration and straw man. Any idiot can hang up a shingle and proclaim himself 'Christian', which is exactly what many HUMAN ORGANISATIONS HAVE DONE. The key is, are they practicing the commands of Christ, literally in John 15 and Matthew 28.18-20 (and other passages)? If not then THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. How many times must I place this fact in cyber for to ignore? Do they behave, in general, like the Christians (with all of their faults) in the N.T.?
  You never answered any of my pointed questions in the above posts, therefore you are either too stupid to see them or are intentionally ignoring my points!

  Christians are NOT A HUMAN LED ORGANISATION. How many times do you need to ignore this fact?
  A Christian can commit sin and that is admitted. Many claim to be Christian but in fact are not, either way, they answer to God for their actions.

  it is with much regret that i have decided to leave jw.com.

  it is not a decision i have made lightly, in fact i had been thinking about it for many weeks now.. i am leaving because i cannot be a part of a forum that condones abuse and deliberate offensiveness towards other posters.

Your attitude is an abomination to all of the CHRISTIANS who went to their graves fighting to free people they did not know.
