Until 3 or 4 months ago, I used to donate €50 per month. Later, I stop donating. What I do know is that my congregation has a monthly deficit in the last year or an small surplus.

How much money people usually donate to WT ?
by Bardamu ini grew up in the org and never got baptised, however i was wondering recently about how much money my family and old friends are wasting in all that.
.
i remember of course never talking in amounts, that it was important to give from what you can not what you have etc but i admit i have no clue how much the average witness gives (say in % of their income).. i'm sure it varies greatly, i'd love to hear what you guys have to say..

Is it possible to decline preaching in the carts?
by Skepsis inhi folks,.
i have a difficult dilemma.
since i'm not pioneering any more, i'm reducing my hours wasted at that artifact known as cart or trolley.

@tepidpoultry, in the case of beards I haven't seen a male with a beard in the carts yet but I've seen brothers doing the microphones wearing beards or having parts in the meetings.
But, in the same kingdom hall there is one congregation allowing it, the other being completely intolerant.
In the my case, serving in a foreign-language congregation, aa there are congregations in other parts of my country where there are a lot of brothers from Central Europe, you can easily see brothers with beards giving talks at assemblies.
It's a recent trend here, I guess having a PM with a beard, a King that sometimes appear with a beard and many respected personalities with it in the last years plus the influence of neighbour European countries where it's a common thing have influenced elders in some congos.
But some years ago, the American rule of no beards allowed was the norm in all congos.

What's preventing YOU from stopping meeting attendance?
by nicolaou inwe all 'exit' in our own way and at our own pace but i'm curious, why carry on stuffing yourself into that stiff suit and tie or meeting dress years after you realised the truth about 'the truth'?.
they kept you a prisoner, what's stopping you from leaving now that you have the key to your own cell?.
loved ones?

In my case there are two main reasons:
- Family and all my friends are inside the Org. It's your whole social life.
- And not only that: you have no friend or support outside.
So yes, I could DA'd myself but it's a shock. I prefer trying to get a life outside step by step because it's not always so easy.
Add to that the emptiness yo feel once you discover the TTATT. At least in my case, I need time to make changes and accomodate myself to this new situation.

Thanks for your feedback on this.
I'm in Western Europe (not the UK nor Ireland) and here first it was a work reserved for pioneers but then more brothers were needed as pioneers realised it is a stupid job where no success at all and some turns were uncovered. In my congo there's also the problem of the few brothers that can speak fluently the language to be assigned and that we're a small congregation.
I have decided to start doing it once a month and in a couple of months saying I won't participate in the arrangement for personal reasons. If they insist, I can say I'm working full time during the week and I need time to go shopping and other things.
By the way, in my country there are congos allowing appointed men with bears and others that don't accept it. It all depends on the desires of the BoE.

@fastJehu: I already have a fulltime job but have no work on saturdays and sundays. So maybe I will have to find another excuse.
As some have said, the problem is I'm still a MS. For the moment I can't step down although already thinking about moving to another congregation this year and not accepting my appointment in the new congregation.

Good observation, ortega! But in case some beautiful sister would like to be included in my congregation's cart arrangement, I could reconsider my decisition... no, not really ;) -

Life is changing for me: no pioneering, got a job!
by Skepsis ina month ago i decided to register in this board.
i had decided to step down pioneering but was frightened about the consequences.
i had finished my university degree some months before (despite disaproval from brothers in my congregation) and i had to choose: continue pioneering and working in jobs with no future or starting a career, working full-time.. i was thinking to postpone the decisiton but... i was fed up with preaching.

Hi Landy,
Yes, that's what I'm trying to do. I told elders only some days before that I was spending the weekend out of town insted of asking if that was possible as I used to do. Yes, I was very theocratical if that term exists.

Well, sir, I don't want still to step down as a MS since doing that immediately after stepping down as pioneer would risk relationship with my family and my possible fade in the future. Doing so would be a signal that something really apostate is happening with me.
