Its sure is funny
I have googled everything. 11 year old Jehovah witness Nigel blood transfusion etc etc.
I can’t find a dam thing about this story or how it ended.
I wonder what would happen if I asked the elders.
i am at the assembly and the last speaker of the day is doing some boring and cliche talk about trusting in jehovah and not being anxious and stuff.
then he starts into this story about this 11 year old boy named nigel who has cancer and is going to have a court ordered blood transfusion.. i am getting up to leave because i am thinking he is going to start into some story about he managed to get out of it and died for jehovah or something like that.
the speaker never finishes the story about what finally happened.

Now I am thinking
He just made it up because he lies like all Elders do.
That the child died ( but the watchtower never misses an opportunity to glorify a martyr. )
That the child received the blood transfusion and it saved his life. Of course you can’t tell anyone that.
But lets just say it was number three. What is the lesson we are suppose we from that ??
That it is better to live in a country where the watchtower is over ruled by the government.
Anyone ever hear anything about this story ?
It just seems odd. Just one of those moments you can really see the devil making fun of the rank and file.
BTW- 5000 in attendance
43 Baptized

oh crap, i almost crapped myself when i saw that.
right down to " the elimination of apostates "..
So
Does the Al-Queda progress report in Iraq kind of look like the Jehovah Witness yearbook ?? Or is it just me.

you remember the song "you get what you give"?.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpb6kctukwa.
did you ever hear the rest of the album?
I remember watching that video and thinking how gay, some kids running around a mall throwing nets on people and releasing pets from a pet store. Mind you I listen to like Slayer and Lamb of god and stuff.
It wasn't later I found his was raised a JW that kind of stuff would really bad ass to a Dub Kid. LoL
I finally bought the CD the other day in a pawn shop for a dollar. Really solid album. Did some research and it made alot of critics top 100 albums of the 90s. It is kind of an interesting story. Gregg Alexander is the only permanent member of the band, and everyone else is just a jam musican.
Then the guy just walked away.
Weird.
I wonder if there was some dub influence in that decision since they are so anti-sucess.
I would love to have a beer with him someday.
the phrase israel of god appears only once in the scriptures, yet it is frequently used in christianity.
just who is the israel of god?.
as you consider these points, and before responding, will you please test your thinking to ensure first that you are speaking from a scripture only standpoint?
The new testment is the story of Gods choosen people switching from the jewish people to the church ( the body of christ ).
The Israel of god is the first century Jewish christians in which the church grew out of. The book of Romans clearly explains that there would be a small remnant of jews that would expect christ as the messiah before the message was spread to the gentiles.
There is no such thing as "Spiritual Israel" nor does the church become the new Israel.
Everything the watchtower teaches on the subject is complete bullshit.
so i pose this question to everyone.
if you were a jw and lived in germany in wwii, how would you deal with the harsh cruelity of hitler?
would you join his side so you may have a chance to live (meaning you'd serve in the miliatry and be on the front line) or would you keep on serving god and be executed?
I think most people JW world don’t realize that most JW went to the concentration camps to serve as free labour, not the actual death camps. Considering 95% of them survived the ordeal, it really wasn’t as brave and noble as people believe. Hell, it was almost borderline collaboration IMHO.
It pisses me off when the Borg gives this song and dance when millions of people gave their to stop the horrors of Nazism.
my friend who is 60 and has been out for 15 years just started to attend a baptist church.
both his parents have passed on and he figures he wants to get back into his spiritity and bible.
he lives in a community of 20,000 people.
My wife has a friend who walked away at 17. Got pregnant out of wedlock at 30 and had to get up in front of the last kingdom hall and repent. Half the people in the hall had no idea who she even was and she didn’t bother ever attending again.
All so she could keep contact with her parents. It was all so fake.
I was just wondering when you were active , did you see the stupidity of the whole charade.

I am sure people know. You can't be seen in a suit and tie in a restaurant sunday at 12.00 without some gossip.
I think he has a brother and sister still in. All either family members have either faded or never were baptized.
He is a very sinerce person i don't believe he even cares what the elders think.
Is there a point where is it pointless to make an issue of it , especially if you don't have a big JW family to guilt/extort you into attending.
when i was on the train this morning i spotted that the guy stood next to me in the rush hour crush was reading the daily text on the jw app.
i paid little attention and went back to reading my book (catch-22 - thanks frazzled .
i kid you not.
I remember one time this two guys came into our KH one Sunday morning just dressed in jeans and t-shirts. They were first nations people. Kind of rough around the edges but not total dirtballs.
Somehow during the study the subject of proper Christian attire came up and she piped up “ YOU KNOW, GOD HAS A DRESS CODE “. I started to laugh. What a bitch.
They walked out, never to be seen again. Usually they wait till they have sucked you into the cult before they treat you like shyte “.
