I have often thought it was odd that the average JW wants to see Bethel Brooklynn more than Israel. There literally doesn’t seem to see any interest in the Holy Land in JW land.

Brooklyn Bethel Tours Through The Roof
by freemindfade inwas speaking with someone last night who just recently toured the us bethel's.
the brooklyn tour i heard was awful, very limited and disappointing and conducted by a local pioneer and not even a bethelite.
well from what they are telling the folks on the tour since the tm3 bit encouraging (guilting) people about going to disneyland on vacation when you haven't visited bethel, monthly tours went from 6000 to 16000!

Your thoughts on the new Star Wars?
by Coded Logic inso i've thought for a while now that jj has the lowest bar to clear in cinema history.
all he has to do is make a movie that's not as bad as the prequels.
but upon viewing the recent trailers, it looks like he's actually got the "feel" of the originals down.

Its funny when you go back and watch the original three movies like 20 plus years later, you soon realize why Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Billy Dee Williams never became stars after. Man, the acting is pretty B grade sometimes.
Man, those movies were fun though.
We expected more from the newer movies because they had mega budgets, established stars, all ready had a rabid fan base.
If you are a star wars fan and want to see a funny good movie watch “Fanboys” . Damm that is priceless.

Is it just me or is the WTS becoming so engrossed in personal doctrine ( 1914, Blood, FDS, End times chronology, Salvation though works, prophetic meaning of parables, overlapping generations) I don’t think the average JW could give you are a brief synopsis of any book of the bible.
Nothing pisses me off more than spending 500 dollar for a three day assembly and later asking my wife what spiritual food do you get that and she doesn’t remember a dam thing.

I was or am a big Star wars fan but man, I really had no use for the 1999-2005 Star Wars movies.
The first one was ruined by Jar Jar Binks and those racist jewish puppets.
The Clone wars was just too science fiction geckish. You really had to know your science fiction shit to enjoy it. I just want mind candy.
The third one, the acting was just so bad. I couldn’t take it serious.
I am really hoping for the next ones to be good.

Most Jehovah Witnesses family patriarchs and the most ubers ones are mostly baby boomers. I have seen an entire family walk away when the old man kicked the bucket. The interesting part is what is going to happen when the baby boomer start to die in the next 15-20 years. How many people are just hanging around for family reasons.
Mind you I am beginning to think the average might actually be retarded or it is just a social club to feel superior to the average joe.

I just hate the fact all the covers of there bibles are a different color so you stick out of a sore thumb if you are using a different version of the bible. Like they didn't do that on purpose.
I did notice the cross references too jeremiah 17:10 revelations 2:23 are removed too.

Actually the gospels are the story the apostles realizing Jesus was first the promised messiah from the old testament, the son of god and after his resurrection realizing he was actually the manifestion of god in the flesh.
The book of John is basically makes the claim he was the angel of the lord from the old testament. The figure that appeared both with god and was identified as god .
Please learn more about the believed pre-incarcerated appearances of Jesus in the old testament. It really helps understand the new testament.

Who do you think did the apostles of Jesus thought he was (at the end of his ministry ) ? Did they think he was god in the flesh or the arch angel Michael. For me the question is really that simple. I don’t know how is all works, I just read the gospels and believe what the authors of the new testament believed.
Comfy still looks at the bible like some code cracking idiot JW. Selectively reading text while trying to find holes in the story and can’t see the forest because of all the trees. He is a waste of time and fucking idiot.
You just keep pouring over all the fine details so you can blow our minds Comfy. Bamboozle Bamboozle.
At least you are getting lots of hours this month ………LoL

Awake - February 2015: What do you know about JWs
by Designer Stubble intrue false - 8 questions1 jehovahs witnesses are christianstrue - we are the only true christians.
however, jesus is always secondary to yhwh or yahweh, who we for some reason call jehovah.2 jehovahs witnesses are creationiststrue, we are just not young-earth creationists3 jehovahs witnesses do not believe in doctorsfalse - of course we believe in doctors.
if we can believe in an invisible sky daddy, surely we can believe in the doctor standing before us in flesh and blood.

6. Jehovah’s Witnesses changed their Bible to fit their beliefs.
FALSE. When we have discovered that our beliefs were not completely in line with the Bible, we have adjusted our understanding. Long before we started producing the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures in 1950, we used available translations and formed our beliefs accordingly.
I shit you not…………that is there real answer. LMFAO

by Clambake inafter having a baby ?

The really bad part is it started with two elders wives “ Can we see the baby ? “ . Once they found out I wasn’t home , then the elders came in. My mother was there helping out and told me how it went down.
Too funny.
