  The Confederate Flag

  the latest controversy over the confederate flag just sums up to me the state of dysfunction that exists in american society.. in summary: a white supremacist nutter shoots 9 black people dead in a church.

  he's clearly inspired by the messages of others which the confederate flag is often a symbol of.. it seems like a no-brainer to remove it.

  not only isn't it removed, it isn't even lowered at all as a mark of respect.. and of course now there are the people who want to defend their right to have it.

  (more than likely referring to me).. ''jehovah(tm) will judge.

  Isn’t there a few high profile WTS apologists that have gone so far the reservation they have got disfellowed ? ( Robert Bowman, Robert King etc ).

  It is kind of funny to read some of their stuff and see how badly their brains have been fried trying to crack the secret code of accurate bible knowledge.

  When you belong to a religion that is essentially just a conspiracy theory it is easy to see how it happens though.

  so something i never knew was the fact jw's were taught that jesus is only the mediator for the anointed class and not for everyone.

  i only found this out after reading "crisis of conscience" and i was actually pretty shocked to learn so.

  if that is the case, when they pray why even bother saying the words "in the name of jesus christ we ask"?

  Traditional Christianity teaches once you become a Christian you have a relationship with Jesus and that is how you are reconciled to god the father. This is your membership in the new covenant.

  The JWs teach you are reconciled to god though your obedience to faithful slave or governing body.

  I have often wondered if this was god’s plan for humanity , the bible would have been more clear about the subject, since the GB is actually replacing jesus. There should literally be hundreds of bible prophecies about the magical men in Brooklyn instead of just a vague parable that somehow becomes a prophecy.

  I have a friend who father is an elder and literally spends all his free time trying to crack the biblical code. He literally has a room in his basement with bible scriptures on the wall with strings connecting stuff together. It is like a scene from the movie a beautiful mind with Russel Crowe. I think even Robert King would walk in there and say “ Man, you are nuts “.

  I sometimes wonder if the WTS has a secret policy as long as it is different than what traditional Christianity teaches, go head. Make shit up.

  I just went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd ( yes there are two original members ) and was looking for a T-shirt and I see the shirts had the confederate flag removed from them. I was like “ man the PC crowd got to Skynyrd. “ No way

  Maybe its the fact I love Southern rock and roll or the fact I am only four generations removed from the deep south but I am more a its heritage not hate kind of guy. Imagine if you just allowed to say things about visible minorities that you are allowed to say about Southern folks. It kind of pisses me off.

  Let’s just for fun review what Viviane said.

  1. Christians don’t know the bible ( we know there is a group of people out there who really know the bible ).

  2. She claims we are still under the law of moses ( I think ) according to the bible. The law of Christ didn’t replace the old convanent. I wonder if there is a certain group we can benefit though there association by this so called new covenant.

  Again I must state I am not exactly sure what her theological stance of what the old covenant and new covenant are . It’s almost like she is trying bambozal us with all kinds of fancy jibbler jabber. Wonder who else tries that trick.
