Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?

this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.

the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

so as many know....ive been df'd goin on 19 years already.

i drive pops to meetings, and drop him off on saturdays for fs.. well yesterday, the elders ask to speak to me, and tell me that if i plan on returning to jehovah, i had better shave my beard off..

I had to believe in the devil before I believed in god. I didn’t find him listening to King Diamond records or playing with Ouija boards. I found him in people making incredibly stupid comments about seven magical men in New York, people shunning their own children or signing cards that would let their children die without even knowing who the author of Acts much less the context of it.

Watchtower is just a mockery to make people atheists. Not surprised at the findings here.

my best friend has recently been "marked" for associating with a "worldly guy" what advice can you give me to pass onto her?

i am not a jw, never been one, so looking for guidance.

Getting marked is a wonderful way to go " inactive " without being d'fd.

You can avoid the disassociation letter and no need to bother with a slow fade.

Blood Cards on File with the Elders?

i have a question for elders here or recent elders.

were the elders, in the last 10 years, given instruction to keep a copy of every publishers blood card on file at the kh?.

we moved to our current cong 6 years ago, and shortly after we moved in, the boe requested everyone update and give a copy of card to the kh.

I always thought it was just a card you carried in the event of emergency. If you chose to misplace it, well you know. I know alot of jw who don't ask don't tell about the blood card.

They are storaged at the Kh basically giving the elders power of attorney?

I sure hope that is not true.

does the headship of the house or marriage trump their kangaroo court or do they think they secret police or something.

either way, it pisses me off..

Engage them in circular religious debates that go nowhere while being as smug and pompous was possible. Make sure you refer to Islam as " false religion " and act really surprised when they become offended.

Then later invite them to assembly and literally see if you can bore them to death.

Maybe someone from the humanitarian and development division of the Watchtower and tract society can help you and your family. Maybe help re-located to you and your family to a western country and give the needed funds to start a new life.

Oh wait, the WTS wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

The solution is more field service and prayer.

If you are killed, at least you will get an Awake cover.
