  i intend for this to be one of a series of bite-sized ops on the evidence for evolution.. introduction to dna genes are sequences of dna made up of words (codons) each of which are three letters (bases) long.

  there are only four letters in the genetic alphabet (acg&t) each word or codon is the recipe for one amino acid.

  there are 20 different amino acids in living organisms.

  ..to think about how the congregations actually function....even down to the individual level.. the biggest bully on the boe (or his wife), controls the show.. ones within the congregation are treated like they're dirt and still they return.

  When my son was born an elder and his wife that was part of the marking committee came over to my home to visit my wife and see the baby. Of course it was just the elders wife that first came to the door and later the elder when they found out I wasn’t home.

  Dam, I wished would have showed up. I would have loved to asked his wife a round of perverted questions and see how he liked it.

  “ How often do you fuck your husband? “

  “ What positions do you do it in ?“

  “ Ever toss a salad ?“

  I guess he is dying of cancer so how even can a guy get but man but how delusional do you have to be to serve an as elder. I just couldn’t believe the nerve of him showing up.

  The catholic church is one hour on Sunday. If you want to do, you can but there is really no pressure. The watchtower is a north Korean police state.

  I would say that the scripture supports that the church was inaugurated at Pentecost.Matt. 16:18, Acts 2:1-4: and I Cor. 12:13

  The church is not a building or a denomination; it is made up of all who have believed the gospel of Christ and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit - no matter what imperfect church organization they are affiliated with. God knows those who are His. When Christ returns He will not ask which imperfect church we belonged to. He will only ask, did you love me? Did you visit me when I was sick? When I was hungry, did you give me to drink? Matthew 25:35-40

  Wow what an amazing post. I couldnt say it any better myself.

  Once you understand how little difference there really is within all the major Christian denominations that idea salvation though works or salvation though obedience to a human organization it all seems quite silly.

  I wish all JWs would read this post and then read the new testament from start to finish.

  Elder continues serving as elder after his daughter got disfellowshipped!

  this is what is happening in a spanish congregation in our area.

  this happened 3 weeks ago.

  this brother conducted the school and after the school was over, another elder gave the announcement: "( name of the person) is not longer a jehovah's witness".

  We have an elder in my wife's hall who has two unbaptized JW children who are now adults and moved on.

  Being raised as dubs from birth, how they escaped the dip is beyond me. I wonder how much pressure this guy has been for allowing that to happen.

  the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

  i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

  i drive pops to meetings, and drop him off on saturdays for fs.. well yesterday, the elders ask to speak to me, and tell me that if i plan on returning to jehovah, i had better shave my beard off..

  I had to believe in the devil before I believed in god. I didn’t find him listening to King Diamond records or playing with Ouija boards. I found him in people making incredibly stupid comments about seven magical men in New York, people shunning their own children or signing cards that would let their children die without even knowing who the author of Acts much less the context of it.

  Watchtower is just a mockery to make people atheists. Not surprised at the findings here.

  Getting marked is a wonderful way to go " inactive " without being d'fd.

  You can avoid the disassociation letter and no need to bother with a slow fade.

  Blood Cards on File with the Elders?

  i have a question for elders here or recent elders.

  were the elders, in the last 10 years, given instruction to keep a copy of every publishers blood card on file at the kh?.

  we moved to our current cong 6 years ago, and shortly after we moved in, the boe requested everyone update and give a copy of card to the kh.

  I always thought it was just a card you carried in the event of emergency. If you chose to misplace it, well you know. I know alot of jw who don't ask don't tell about the blood card.

  They are storaged at the Kh basically giving the elders power of attorney?

  I sure hope that is not true.
