  Is the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses really an inferior form of Christianity?

  seems to be quite a few posters recently pulling down the beliefs of jw's as not biblical or truly christian.

  maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, i really don't care.. in some important ways though mainstream christians often behave better than jehovah's witnesses; most don't practice shunning or impose lethal medical prohibitions on their members.

  many are far more tolerant of the lgbt community and a few even make the awkward attempt to square the fact of evolution with their faith.. please note that i'm saying some, not all.. so i suppose it's fair to say that differing forms of christianity can be better or worse for individuals, families and the wider community.

  When I was growing up I went to an evangelical non-denominational church. We had our core beliefs but we weren’t really that dogmatic. There could be certain levels of disagreement on theology and that was Ok.

  Going to a Kingdom Hall is just bizarre to me. Building core doctrine on the prophetic books of the books, twisting parables into prophesy and foaming at the mouth at the destruction of worldly people.

  The thing that really scared me the most was the horrible things they would say about other churches and the sheer arrogance of the people. Growing up I thought we were all in it together as Christians. Apparently not.

  The more I learn it seems to be anti-Christianity to me.

  If the bible says love thou neighbor and someone is putting your neighbor in cattle cars and sending them death camps and you don't try and stop it, you are part of it. Jws baby sitting SS kids and providing free labour to the third Reich really isn't as christian as they would like to believe.

  Jw to me are literally a mockery of Christianity. Salvation though works, denying the deity of christ, only seven men enter into the new convenant . The Kh to me sometimes feels like a Slayer concert.

  it was all planned and arranged until ttatt was learned.

  i intend for this to be one of a series of bite-sized ops on the evidence for evolution.. introduction to dna genes are sequences of dna made up of words (codons) each of which are three letters (bases) long.

  there are only four letters in the genetic alphabet (acg&t) each word or codon is the recipe for one amino acid.

  there are 20 different amino acids in living organisms.

  Watching ex witnesses pretend they are evolutionary biologists is kind of like watching jw janitors elders having discussions about the merits of bloodless surgery or the dangers of blood transfusions pretending they are doctors.

  I have wondered how elders have no problem sending children and women door to door in dangerous neighbors or driving up and down icy roads but locking the door during a meeting?

  When my wife was pregnant she was called before a meeting with the elders and they had to inform her of medical options. They started to about blood fractions and such and which were acceptable and a bunch of medical mumble jumble.

  After they were done I asked them where they went to medical school. I later informed them we are not talking any medical advice from a couple fucking janitors and told them this isn’t any of their business.

  I really don’t think people should take copy and paste evolutionary biologists with much seriousness. Their interest in science really doesn’t go beyond arguing with theists.

  If your interest was really science related, you wouldn't be here. Why does every message board on the internet that is theology based seem to have want to be evolutionary biologists.

  You know no one on this board is in no position to either argue or disagree with what you posted. We are ex witness and varies people hurt by the watchtower.

  ..to think about how the congregations actually function....even down to the individual level.. the biggest bully on the boe (or his wife), controls the show.. ones within the congregation are treated like they're dirt and still they return.

  When my son was born an elder and his wife that was part of the marking committee came over to my home to visit my wife and see the baby. Of course it was just the elders wife that first came to the door and later the elder when they found out I wasn’t home.

  Dam, I wished would have showed up. I would have loved to asked his wife a round of perverted questions and see how he liked it.

  “ How often do you fuck your husband? “

  “ What positions do you do it in ?“

  “ Ever toss a salad ?“

  I guess he is dying of cancer so how even can a guy get but man but how delusional do you have to be to serve an as elder. I just couldn’t believe the nerve of him showing up.

  Comparing the modern day catholic church to the soul sucking evil of the WTS is ricidiousness.

  The catholic church is one hour on Sunday. If you want to do, you can but there is really no pressure. The watchtower is a north Korean police state.
