Been there, done that. The problem for you will always be you are not ready to leave, therefore you will only be willing to go so far in attempting to wake people up. You can only ask so many questions so close to the apostate line without drawing attention to yourself that would put your standing in jeopardy.
In the end you are likely to find, as i did, thats in an untenable position. The emotional cost is enormous, living that double life, and degrading as a man.

Its a legitimate question. Lets analyze:
what evidence is there that the desert god tells the truth? What is the basis, other his own say so, that he never lies? His very first threat, ‘eat from the tree and you die that day’, was a blatant lie. The JW explanation about spiritual death and death to their relationship with him or they started dying that day, is nonsense. An all knowing god has an obligation to speak in a way that will be clearly understood by his creations and there is only one way that threat can be taken. He lied from the start.

The US didn't leave victorious. They left with the world laughing at their stupidity and incompetence.
Who said anything about victory? I gave a nuanced perspective that ultimately summarized with : “ If by defeat you mean the ruskies and americans failed to change the hearts and minds of the mohammedans, absolutely correct.” So…. ?

No one has ever "held" Afganistan and no one ever will.
It's all about the geography.false. The Russians held it for 10 years, although it was hotly contested for the duration and the Americans held it for 20 years, for much of which there was no resistance whatsoever, our puppets rans the government and enforced the laws. We even opened schools for girls (to the shock and horror of the cabe dwellers) By definition that is “holding it”.
(NB you pushed the Japs back by nuking them. Now that is nothing to "crow" about).
In fact it is. Fat man and Little Boy were technological marvels that laid the foundation for the world of today. It could well be argued that Nukes are the only reason there have been no more world wars. But in point of fact that is not exclusively how we pushed them back. The battle of midway, the pivotal point in the war of the pacific, was all conventional arms and good old fashion boots to asses by some very heroic men.
I understand the desire to be reductionist but nuclear arms were the coffin nail not the hammer.

This concept that somehow the poppy growers won is strange to me. Its like ,after being knocked out in the first 30 seconds of rounds one, a boxer is revived and stands up, and seeing his opponent is gone (to the dressing room for a victory press conference), begins declare himself victor to the empty arena.
The poppy growers and goat herders didnt win. They didnt beat the Soviets either. The USSR was failing as a nation (thanks to the brilliant tactics of the USA under Ronald Regan) and decided to pull back. They held that dirt for almost Ten years. If you get hit in the face for ten years and finally someone stops because their hand hurts, that was a win for your face I guess…?
The USA held that dirt for 20 years and could have held it for 20 more. The poppy growers and goat herders were hiding in caves. Literal cave men. They were of no threat whatsoever. The USA decided to go home. There was no forcing the USA out. There was no threat of loss or defeat. As a nation we decided to stop punching them in the face. A win for the tali’s face, i guess….?
If by defeat you mean the ruskies and americans failed to change the hearts and minds of the mohammedans, absolutely correct. That was predictable as night and day. It would take two generations of occupation to do that. But defeat on the battle field? Not even close.
