When you were still a JW, or if you still are what was one of those wild or crazy thoughts that went though your mind
by Tameria2001 inbefore i left the organization, i remember having this thought go through my mind, it was not something that i dwelled on too much.
i was thinking of an interesting way i could get away with something, especially with my anal jw relatives, my brother-in-law was the worst.
i didn't have this idea pop in my head until after i had moved into a duplex, and then it went off like a light bulb.

A crazy THOUGHT to:
...wire up the sound and TV system at every KH in the world in such a way that couldn't be disconnected by anyone and in the middle of the memorial play a thought provoking power point presentation including Geoffrey Jackson saying under oath at the Australian Commission "it would be presumptuous to say we are the only true religion..."
...mail to every JW household in our region copies of the child abuse documents including perps info I accidentally kept on my computer before stepping down.
...wake each GB member up at 2am and tell them, "too bad there aren't 2 witnesses here to testify to what I'm about to do....."
...redirect jw.org to jwfacts.com

What Are The Differences Between JWs Born In and Converted?
by minimus ini tend to think that many jws who joined the religion in their later years feel foolish or are embarrassed by their decision to become one of jehovah’s witnesses.
.
i’m not embarrassed by my years “in the truth “ because i was raised from infancy to believe everything was god’s word and who are we to question jehovah and his organization?

I became an ordained JW minister at 8 after a rigorous study of the bible for the previous 7 years.
Born In: Indoctrinated from birth. Totally thought/action approval dependent on organization. Robbed of the ability to accept and solve ones own life situations and/or problems which translates into being emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually immature.
Converted: A JW knocked at a moment of ones duress, with low self esteem, and/or being vulnerable and offered emotional, psychological, and/or spiritual shelter.

What was the last thing you said to your jw family?
by caves in7 years ago i had my last conversation with the toxic jw that mostly raised me.
every conversation was toxic for my entire adult life with her.
the last time we spoke was right before the memorial 7 years ago and she was laying on the usual heavy guilt and fear mongering about how jeho counts his people at the memorial.

Who is the mediator for jehovahs witnesses?
by atomant inlm getting conflicting advice.ls it the 144000 or jesus.l was always under the impression it was jesus.lf its the 144000 then when they pray the jw;s should be praying through the remnant not in jesus christs name but in the 144000;s name..

Bible = 1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"
From the JW Insight Book = He (Jesus) mediates the new covenant between God and those taken into the new covenant, the congregation of spiritual Israel (144,000).
What does this circle of logic mean? The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society has set itself up as the mediator between man (any member of the great crowd) and God. This is in direct conflict with what the bible teaches on all levels! To JW's Jesus mediates the new covenant between God and only the 144,000 anointed JW's.
So how does that make you JW's feel to have the WT remove Jesus as your mediator between you and God?
At your next meeting at the KH look over at that bat shi$ crazy anointed brother/sister and know that Jesus IS his/her mediator and NOT yours....and do this while reading John chapter 10.

1975—Were You Affected By What 1975 Was Supposed to Bring?
by minimus infor years , we were told to wait until 1975!.
the end was coming and we better be ready—or else!.
were you around during this “momentous “ time??
-
Solzhenitsyn
Yes. Truly an "exciting and momentous time" culminating into sheer let down that woke many up. Kind of like the internet does today.
So funny how the air at Brooklyn was caustic in 1976 from the failed expectation murmuring, leading to so many asked/made to leave, leading to GB on multiple times insinuating it was a purge from Jehovah. In morning worship, they used the Biblical example of skimming off the "scummy dross", that they in effect knew of the murmuring and intentionally gave it time to rise to the surface.
These memories are like scary clowns peeking out of a port-a-potty.
I need to go find my happy place.

Epiphany #2
by Solzhenitsyn inso after much emotional struggle out into the open comes why my dear wife continues to want to stay with the wt organization.. i simply couldn't understand why someone so intelligent would suffer from such confusion wether to stay active or fade away when she has faced and accepted the anti-jw facts.
simply put: she was raised with such sick instability that jw life was the only thing that provided stability, the only thing she felt she could count on.
to this day this remains the primary reason she stays "in".

So after much emotional struggle out into the open comes why my dear wife continues to want to stay with the WT organization.
She openly affirms 1914, 607, GB edicts, WT prognostications, local BOE stooges, ect is all a bunch of unnecessary crap and feels noone needs to know her thoughts on the matter. It's the 'safe place' that she can't see herself peeling or being peeled away from.
Any suggestions on how to approach this deeply entrenched emotional matter?
