The Watchtower stole from me and you too

think of the vacations as a child you could have taken with your families the memories you could have made instead of sitting in a hot bs week of echo talks and propaganda.

Not only did they steal something from us but the WT Corporation left many of us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually f&cked for life or a large portion of whats left of it. Some calling card eh?
As stated by another I feel the same that I am SO THANKFUL that all our children, their children, their children's children, will not have to shun or be shunned. And by the time my great grand-children are on earth, the WT will be gone.

Ahh yes...the flashbacks of me getting whipped in the KH bathroom and at home, watching my JW peers getting whipped, and then since I was raised in the WT
utopiadystopia...me whipping my own children while they were still in diapers. Sickening.The JW propaganda machine does an incredible job of saying "we don't advocate physical discipline". So why then did the majority of us born in's get physically beat and grow up to engage in it ourselves?

by days of future passed inhave you ever been watching a show and suddenly, there's a reference to jehovah's witnesses?
i was watching an english mystery show from a while back and the main character hetty, was giving a list of religions that could have drawn off a young girl.
one of the "fringe" groups was tada - jehovah's witnesses.. there is plenty of other more well known clips like snl coneheads being approached by fake jw's.

Why are they still so obsessed with Dr Spock?
by purrpurr incomment in today's wt, was about dr spock, and his book "that every parent in the world read" apparently (!).
if it wasn't for the wt's obsessions with the guy i would have no idea who he was, neither i suspect would the vast majority of the congregation.
there has been a mass of parenting books written since and yet they keep harking back to this one.. do they have no idea how out of touch this makes them seem?.

Dr. Spocks book "baby and childcare" was revised like 15 times over the years. This is the angle the WT capitalizes on...."Man made books need revision and the Bible never needs to be revised."
