Ahh yes...the flashbacks of me getting whipped in the KH bathroom and at home, watching my JW peers getting whipped, and then since I was raised in the WT ~~utopia~~ dystopia...me whipping my own children while they were still in diapers. Sickening.

The JW propaganda machine does an incredible job of saying "we don't advocate physical discipline". So why then did the majority of us born in's get physically beat and grow up to engage in it ourselves?

have you ever been watching a show and suddenly, there's a reference to jehovah's witnesses?

i was watching an english mystery show from a while back and the main character hetty, was giving a list of religions that could have drawn off a young girl.

one of the "fringe" groups was tada - jehovah's witnesses.. there is plenty of other more well known clips like snl coneheads being approached by fake jw's.

comment in today's wt, was about dr spock, and his book "that every parent in the world read" apparently (!).

if it wasn't for the wt's obsessions with the guy i would have no idea who he was, neither i suspect would the vast majority of the congregation.

there has been a mass of parenting books written since and yet they keep harking back to this one.. do they have no idea how out of touch this makes them seem?.

Does anyone think that Dubbers buy up old publications to destroy?

i see that there is a lot of people bidding on and buying the more controversial publications.

it could be all due to people who have left the cult and want to read it as published the crazy things or prove it to a family member.

but i wonder if anyone has ever heard of individuals buying up to remove something from the public.
