  More misleading content on JW.org

  what is “the end of the world”?the phrase “the end of the world,” which appears in many bible translations, can also be rendered as “the conclusion of the system of things,” or “the close of the age.” (matthew 24:3;english standard version) it refers, not to the destruction of the earth or of all humanity, but to the end of the framework of human society.—1 john 2:17.. conveniently leaving out that according to current numbers and doctrine, 8.000.000 people will survive at max.. technically is not a destruction of all humanity....but it comes so close it deserves to be mentioned.. of course it isn't mentioned, because that would sound so extreme, cultish and unkind.

  we wouldn't want people to get the right ideas about jw.organization now, would we?.

  The problem:

  Does the idea of "End of the world" contradict "Armageddon"?

  EoW means thus: framework of society ends [no punishment, no destruction necessary, peaceful transition into new world possible]

  Armageddon means: INTERVENTION for gods people (but only if necessary) This does not mean coercively innihilation and certainly not revenge

  Then why someone is afraid of Armaggedon? Only because it is called a "war"? Lately Armageddon is nothing more than figurative speeking about how horrible could be the ultimative consequences of a world without a sense of duty, love and respect. Sometimes I think that we have already today a little figurative Armageddon.

  They awaited backthen the "glorification" of the "church". They thought only this little group was the church and true bride. Until nothing happened of that kind in 1914, all of them overlived 1914, and nobody got raptured. Because Jehovah had not manifested himself as they thought.

  Note: The "J W"-"theocratic organisation" did not exist before Rutherford invented it, but the name "J W" he learned from the Pentecostal Preacher Joshua Sykes who influenced the Watchtower teachings according to TerryWalstroms thread Two men who changed Watchtower history.

  I never heard of that man before. Thanks. What a cup of narcissistic men that founded the J W org or built the basis for its legal victories!

  And how evil those strategicians when they used their members as sacrifice animals and planned attacks on them!

  The selfappointment story of Rutherford with the the end of the angels ruling over the org and now Rutherford ruling was interesting, although I I have already forgotten the dates and details, what I will look up later a second time to remember it better.

  bye... bye.... no more new printing presses for jw.org... the growth is so tremendous (irony...).. all printing work in europe will be arrange in the next month only in selters (germany), but no renovation or upgrading in printing presses is expected... it will be a full outsourcing :).

  a worldly company axel s******* will be used.

  this company is known to be printing bild newspaper... the interesting part of it is the logistics will be as well outsourced.

  Tried One Last Time In The Kingdom Hall...

  so last thursday was meeting day.

  my wife knows my thoughts on this religion and respects my fade and is completely ok with it (which surprised me, and also made me love her even more).

  i think she must know it's all crack-pot stuff but seeing as her whole family are all in and about 98% of them cant even explain their beleifs without a watchtower on hand i think she's just going along for the friends/family/social side of it.

  You delivered insight in todays pharasean selfrightious behaviour in the congregation.

  I remember a similar incidence: once upon a time after I had received a public reproof and had lost all my important offices in the congregation, it was that I tried to attend the assembly happily thinking about my lost appointments and the value of this reproof, then happened a strange thing. I must have been looking depressed and shattered while I held yet the mic for some imporant answers of loving brothers, the mic-slave service I had done over the last 10 years was the only remaining job for me.

  Than one of those anointed remnant members sat in a row and could not hold back commenting about me. While i passed him, he spoke silently but obviously attention-grabbing to his wife: "He will leave us, he is not one of us". He didnot know me privately at all and we had never been in service out over all the time but judgment over me was easy.
  That was really upbuilding.

  Dear Terry, what a fortuity. I am exactly now reading about the contentment in a book written by Dalai Lama himself. For the moment I am so surprised abouth this happening that I am quite breathless. So I hope to be ably to contribute to your campfire in this evening under the stars some thoughts about a happy God in "heaven".

  Now it is 102 years that we live in the kingdom. (Hooray!) Imagine how it will be if we looked back after 1000 years or millions years, as Bro. HERD encourages under this earthly kingdom. We would not recognize the "trooth" anymore as "truuth" after so much time! Instruction by implanted tools and cyber-virtual meetings with GB-indoctrinators.

  Hence "Keeping pace" is a really necessary and a good means to investigate your "doctrinal strength or weakness" in times of tribulation and in the face of growing mistrust in the Governing Body, "Jehovah-orientation and Jehovah-mindedness" are always a positive potential, with the aim to focus on any CHANGE that could abruptly appear.

  Jesus will be easily able to mark his friends nonetheless. In any case its better that Jesus does the MARKING than ANY elder in the congregation, think only of the fact how many of us have suffered through their marking-acts.

  i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.

  i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.

  i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

  Hi, I believe in that that Jesus wanted to tell people something, what it was exactly is hard to explain, because we will in other times. But I believe that Jesus wanted a church and that he would accept all of us the doubters, skepctics, querists..... this was his mission to let the love shine like a bonfire. For jesus Gods love, the holy spirit" should come and live in peoples heart, that would be the kindgom of what he spoke. I believe that Jesus looked after the sense of the commandments and that we are allowed to do the same.

If you are in the majority of the population that doesn’t know what an exabyte is, no worries.An exabyte equals 1 million terabytes, a figure that may be a bit easier to relate to. Using our estimate earlier of a personal computer holding around 500 GB, that would mean 1 exabyte would equal 2 million personal computers, and Google's 15 exabytes would be around 30

  We’ve written before about how much data Google stores (it’s staggering), but Google might not store the most data, and definitely doesn’t have the biggest data center. The NSA is suspected to potentially hold the most data out of anyone, though there’s a few other top contenders. But everyone likes to cloak themselves in secrecy. Makes sense. It’s cool to have secrets.
