Jesus had to die? Really?
by punkofnice ini admit i no longer believe in god and holy books.. thinking of the made up 'universal sovereignty' thing, surely if god existed in the way the holy books describe him then he could have thought of something better than humankind suffering thousands of years and the slaughter of jesus?.
couldn't god have said: 'well, satan is a very naughty boy but you all know how great i am so we can end it now.
i will lovingly kill satan and his mates and that's that.

Last Sunday Pope Francesco said:
“Non c’è alcun limite alla misericordia divina offerta a tutti”.
There is no limit for the divine mercy offered to all

Creative ways of counting field service time
by 4thgen inthere was a sister in my congregation that signed up to aux pioneer one month to put in 60 hours.
we couldn't figure out why she was never at the arrangements, but yet she said she got in her time early in the month.
we found out later that we wrote a letter that took her an hour.

by 4thgen inso what do you think will be the new releases this year?
it seems from everything that has been happening that there will be a new and revised reasoning book to embrase all the new 'adjustments'.
also, the proclaimers book has to revamped to take out all the things that honor russell or rutherford, after all they weren't annointed anyway.

I think .... several booklets or at least one book will be release which can be entitled "Thy Kingdom Come"There are many effects of this coming of the kingdom to be studied, how the kingdom since 1914 worked,
and what will be the future of this kingdom.A fine film with a drama about the missionaries which are doing a god job in the whole world.
"We are loyal to your kingdom" could be the public talk for book release.

A good explanation for the book of revelation is given in "Revelation" by the southamerican theologians Catherine and Justo Gonzales, published 1997.
Perhaps anyone posesses an exemaplar or has access in a library? -

New NWT - what's the REAL reason?
by wallsofjericho inone thing i have learned over the years is there is a clear, distinct purpose to everything the wts does.
everything is done to accomplish a defined purpose.. did they really print millions of new bibles just to be more accurate?
after decades of toughting how much better the nwt was than any other bible?.

Furthermore I am convinced that The "New World Translation Committee" are not qualified to publish a Bible translation.
It is there hobby to copy, transcribe and comment. They simple benefit without any cost and fraglantly from the hard work
that our catolic and protestant experts have made the last centuries solely to affront them or honor them with "several exegets" or "bible commentators have said". Thus indirectly agreein that JWs are not in that educated profession.A committee that stays anonyms is not professional. Nobody in the Bible exegetes profession in the last decades has ever known or seen
an JW appearing on their conventions. They are only fraglantly copying our work and misusing it by adapting our discoveries to their needs.
The guidlines to the NW-translation are a confession of failure, copying the preface of the old green book, some fotos and already known facts but nothing about translation than adaption to the english language of the 21 century. The Translation work is in reality a science on university level, there are instituts for old and new testament science and there are many professions to learn. I think of philology, orientalism, semitistic, archeology, methods of exegese, bibel sociology, hebraic studies,...
Bibel researchers have already published modern translation.

Photography and HDR
by ILoveTTATT inas i have mentioned before, i love photography, and specially a technique called hdr.
hdr stands for high dynamic range, and it means the ratio of the "lightness" of the lightest spot in the picture to the darkest.. .

Thank your for sharing your experiences. My sony cybershot only takes JPG pictures but has a Intelligent Automatic, she takes
some pictures and make one out of them. But no HDR cam.So at the moment I am trying to reproduce e.g.the Jill Greenberg effect or fake HDR effect with GiMP and Photoshop while
following the tips in the youtube tutorials and so I am learning so many things about aperture, exposure, shadows and lights,
color range, ... I should attend a professional seminar.Greetings

Had to die? I think Y and no,
Yes because he was consequent and his service contradicted the religious and political background,
No, not to fullfill any prophecy nor to proof that a man can be faithful to God in the issue of Loyality
nor to be the remnant of Adams deeds. (These later interpretation of the happenings do not make
the happenings (e.g. pain and death) itself to something that was necessary to give as a remnant. The first christian only tried to understand what they have survived and explained death and pain of Jesus
with the words and pictures of the jewish liturgy, temple rituals and the Olt Tesament texts of the prophets.
So as if everything what the jewish religion is about has been fulfilled truth jesus. (Pictures like the lamb that
has to be slaughtered etc.) But the death of Jesus or the blood of Jesus is not seen as factual sacrifice like
the blood of the goats and bulls that have been sacrificed for the sins in the temple. Jesus was not sacrified
within the frame of Jewish cult and rituals, and not killed in the Jerusalem temple, his blood did nof flew over the temple altar
of Jehovahs temple inside the city - Jehovah did not want his blood! He was killed outside Jerusalem. The executioners were not priests but soldiers, that was no jewish cult.
not a fulfilment of any religious ritual! Thus Paul concluded in his writings that Jesus himself was the Highpriest and
he himself came to God in heaven. (that was an interpreation) -

"Sovereignty", "Universal Sovereignty", "Total Sovereignty" "Allmighty" sound like very cool and heartless. Would be interesting how we came to
all these overfreighted words. What the monotheistic religions from the antice world until today implicated with that technical term.Incontrary we have the Bibel with the sermon of the mountains where Jesus tells us about God about his love:
Jesus says God is the only who loves us like in the sermon of the mountains,
we are beloved, save and retrieved in God, healed by God, have an eternal homeland with God, this was the gospel of Jesus.
A new picture of God for many at that time : A God who loves his enemies, who waits not controlls us.Jesus speaks of a law not of a controlling sticklers for the letter of the law but, love does not repay
an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth (very adequate, just and rightous)
but instead the law of love is: love your enemies like I love my enemies.God is lookinf for the love of his enemies (Matthew 5,46 and 26,25) and thus God is a soverein not a tyrann, a loving sovereign who says: "Blessed are those who make peace" (Matthew 5,9).
Love is the heart of christianity. Love is the center of all.
-Bible says who loves is a friend of god, god takes home in this person. Bible teaches
who finds mercy and love will find God.- undeserved love (John 13,34) this is Gods attribute, people like Jesus because they felt that we was speaking with poor, ill, excommunicated people,
which had problems with the Jewish society, even with enemiies of the faith,
Jesus taught love without reserve and selflessness, a love like a mother has to its child.
Pain and Evil will not be solved with justification, legislation but trough love.So and not otherwise we have to understand christian love and Gods Universal Merciful Sovereignty.
