in the late 1990s there was magazine article that asked the question, are jws a secret society?

obviously they said no, because they claim to be transparent to outsiders and new members.

but they really are not transparent at all.

It's a secretive system designed to avoid accountability, make elders feel as if they are important, and give mundane structural processes an aura of mystical "theocratic" specialness.

Updates and fixes

i thought i'd spend some time cleaning up the forum code and wanted to let you know about some of the recent changes and fixes:.

the avatars and in-post images used to use a separate imaging service which was convenient but didn't provide much control over caching which meant that each day you visited the site you were probably re-downloading those images again.

as they are immutable they can be cached for a long time which saves bandwidth and speeds things up.

Thanks for working with so big effort in userfriendly and economically cheap solution for the community, already you changed platform and wrote those fixing codes to make the machine run smoothly and secure the forum is a kind of unique gem. Im very curious what will come next.

Sometimes we may take the advancements as matter of course, because we see everywhere a rapid technical progress and sometimes I have the impression that the new functions appear by oneself. In detail it turns around that you create a piece of art that uses the best tools, and combine them to work very cheap, very fast, secure, without all that excess baggage that are made for business enterprises if I got it right.

i had a messy divorce i lost custody of my son in 2011 age 9yrs after four years of court battles to get him back i couldn't do anymore.. yesterday my wonderful son had an upsetting day as our contact was cancelled.

i think we can say many of those laid off no longer trust the governing body because of being lied to repeatedly over so many things.

i am now watching the happy young people.. introduction words even in english at youtube 9:07. .

anyone here understands polish too?.

It is very comforting to me to see that outside Jehovahs witnesses, young people find very well hold in the gospel. And yet catolics are so many and not yet extinct fromm the earth surface as may JW hope. I grew up catolic and I should have remained catolic and not become a Dub.

In each group you will find hypocrisy. And thats excatly the main major plus of the old churches: Happy people can be found outside a cult as well. Early bible writers wrote about it and "fortsaw" the "man of lawlessness", "antichrist", people who will cruzify jesus a second time by their acts and deed against the holy spirit, those name christians are not buddhists, taoists, muslims no, but christians!, who willingly act against the christian mercy. They are the real "apostates" - not the weak Jehovahs witnesses - you find them everywhere, and we should not be surprised to have those weed in the christian community.

But Jesus wanted a church and founded it with some normal guys who should take the message of mercy into the world. A message that says only: in the end only love and mercy will help people.
