Want to know all about the talks he is going to give? I took great notes! We had our visit not too many months ago. Ours was a nice enough guy at first glance. The talks were not boring, he told jokes, gave they sheeple what they want. it was the same ol' stuff re-shuffled and re-heated with a dash of GB worship on top. My wife made the Co and his wife lunch, I did not go. I am all about treating others with respect as people, but knowing that my hard earned cash is going to the Conti settlement ( nothing against Candice ) and that none of it feeds others, not even other JW's, pisses me off!!! Plus I don't worship the GB and told my wife as much and I told her I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE SPIRITUAL MOTHER TEACHING. So I was nice but made it clear that I could not buy out the time to make it. He seemed alright, but no one in the JW org is a modern day apostle. So I did not show up for lunch, and I felt great about it. After all, someone has to work to pay for the gas guzzling service-mobile and our monthly contributions to the WTBTS, and for the Co's car.

The truth is out there..... The subject of U.F.O sightings is very interesting. I personally have no doubts that they exist. I have seen them. I also live fairly close to a Military base. They exist, but what are they? Certainly the Government has technology that we are not aware of. Just look at your latest smart phone, that is so 10 years ago. Whatever you are buying now, the Military had it first, guaranteed. Google Earth is free, what do you think the Military has? Before the scoffers chime in I have spent time with many ex-Special Forces members and they have told me quite a few accounts, including U.F.Os. I would suggest reading Annie Jacobsen's " Area 51 ", also William Lynes " Aliens from the Pentagon " and " Occult Ether Physics ". I won't say these are ultimate sources of truth on the subject because we will probably never know the real truth. Like most things you have to put the pieces together and guess a little, until hopefully you find out. There are some nut-jobs out there, and there are those who say U.F.Os don't exist at all. There are deliberate mis-information campaigns as well, just like any other subject where half-truths are a distraction for the masses. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle, at least for modern day sightings. As far as the ancient U.F.O stuff, I can't say because I wasn't there. Was some Indian rocking the peyote and thought he saw an alien, I don't know. There are some awesome ancient structures that took technology to build. There are some things the ancients did that we have yet to figure out? How did they accomplish those things? Were they smarter than we are? Did they have help? Do drugs really alter your state of mind sufficiently to let you access another realm that exists simultaneously with our own? Can doors be opened? Are aliens interdimensional, maybe? Are they what some call demons, they could be? Is it true that Hitler as well as High officials in our own government gained insights into technology from occult practices, I don't know....possibly. Nothing would shock me at this point in my life. People lie all the time. People with money and positions and legacys to preserve lie more. One thing I know for a fact is that the WTBT$ knows less than you or I do about the subject, but it didn't stop them from printing thier opinion by the millions. I think the whole subject is fascinating. I won't discount anything by hiding behind religious or scientific dogma. I know this, if Aliens showed up " Close Encounters " style and asked me to go, I would send you a postcard from Planet X!!!! ( or Uranus ) LOL!!!!

Make Them Prove That You Were Baptized!
by VM44 inthis might not work for everyone, but it might for some.. if a person faces disfellowshipping, the person should make the elders prove that they are baptized!.
as far as i know, baptism records are not sent to bethel.. without two witnesses to the event (and the witnesses have to remember seeing the person immersed), and no photos, there would be no proof.. if someone did this, the elders would of course contact bethel for instructions, but what could they do?.
it would put a stop to the elders proceeding with any action..

If you are a volunteer on the construction scene, don't you have to fill something out with your Baptism date on it? I am sure they have record somewhere.

Recovery, please wake up. No clergy/laity class??? Are there ever any dinners for the auxillary pioneers organized by Elders wives? How about the CO visit when the auxillary pioneers can only stay for half of the " pioneer " meeting? What secrets must be revealed during that next 15 minutes!!! Oh, don't forget you do not qualify to read the Shepherd book. The Elders are at a higher level spiritually than publishers. Give us a break. Jw's hated by the entire world, not true. Very few have ever been persecuted although they believe every little slight is persecution. I couldn't get a job because I had to go to all 3 days of the convention, I was persecuted!! Hey chuckles, here is an idea, make up a day on another weekend. Most bosses will let you do that, because " worldly " people are pretty reasonable sometimes. If you are sinning and you are slapped, it's your fault, it's not persecution. If you disrespect the superior authorities and are punished, it's your fault. Rutherford disrespected the authorities, and poor JW's followed suit and were hurt. I bet very few were ever really persecuted for being a " Christian". The JW's needlessly martyr themselves and call it persecution. None of them are facing death today for being loyal to Christ. Pagan concepts, I will give you that one, but the ones you mentioned have been disregarded for centuries by many Christians, not just dubs, but you know that. Oh, don't forget that the JW's WERE using pagan symbols and celebrating Christmas when they were supposedly chosen as the ONLY approved channel in 1919. The Divine name? We don't even know how to pronounce it. If it was that important it would have been preserved with no doubt of how to say it. Worshipping in spirit and truth is what matters, and JW's do NOT do that. They don't even believe God's word at James 1:26,27. Annointed? All Christians should partake, end of story. Elders and ministerial servant did exist, but the positions today do not parallel the first century. Do yourself a favor. Go to some antique stores and find a Strong's concordance, or go on-line and see what an " Elder " was. By the way in the new WT lesson the Hebrew word for running to and fro seeking knowledge is not even mentioned, why? Because they use it improperly to support thier theology. Get a concordance bro!

Where do you start?!?! I will throw one out that some may not have considered. The early Christians believed that absolutely nothing could separate them from God's love, not even a gruesome death in the Roman arena. They believed and taught that no other human could spiritually break you. You could die, but you were still victorious if you kept your integrity. Today, that is no longer believed by JW's, even though they claim it to be true. Their very leaders the GB don't believe it. Just ask anyone that was left by thier marraige mate on the trumped up grounds of " absolute spiritually endangerment ", that loop-hole is an apostate teaching used to separate families. The GB allows this because they fear one mate may eventually reason from the scriptures with the other, and getting them to stop serving the GB. This " spiritual endangerment " is a outright lie and an apostate teaching of men. There is no such thing as " spiritual endangerment ", it's a cop-out, and a falsehood conveniently used to persecute those who do not belive the GB. It is totally unscriptural, and would not have been believed by 1st century " Christians ". Also, there was no 1st century GB.

"Safeguard Your Mind" assembly targeting apostate thinking
by promised_presence ini recently attended the second day of the 2 day assembly for safeguarding your mind.
the first talk was entitled "feed your mind at jehovah's table".
the first portion of this talk specifically targeted apostates warning members to not listen to them "even if they were once strong in the truth or had great responsiblity in the congregation".

I just sat through a public talk to day about the coming judgment against religion by God and the Governments. Talk about irony! The brother was charismatic and had alot of jokes. The crowd was enchanted. The only problem was that everything that was said applied to the JW's equally. They are just soooo blinded because the think they have " THE TRUTH " not some, but ALL. Other religions dirty laundry was aired. There are several current sex scandals involving the Catholic Church that were mentioned. He mentioned all the child abuse, and even talked about the Catholic Church's efforts to stop the abuse of childre by setting up programs and by requiring background checks. He then said from the stage, " Brother *****, did you have a background check? No, of course not, because none are needed. That's not who we are." I was transfixed. The speaker probably thought my eye contact was due to admiration and awe, like the rest of the audience. I was dumbfounded by what I was hearing. Candace Conti?!?!?!? Have you ever heard of her?!?!? All i could think was, " My God, they are going to be totally caught off guard when WTBTS is destroyed, ( I think it will be ) they have NO clue what is going on...". I told my wife that I wish I was recording the talk. She said, a little snarkily, " I KNEW YOU WOULD SAY SOMETHING...". Hey, that shows that she picked up on it right? There may be some hope for her, time will tell I guess.
If the WT study today is an example of safeguarding your mind then, OMG!! I don't know if I can sit through another convention, but I will do it as an observer, and in the interests of exposing thier hypocrisy. I will let Blondi handle the WT summary! It was full of half-truths about " The Truth ". I wonder what people thought as I sat there hi-lighting scriptures while reading ' The Harp of God ' and writing down Strong's numbers?.....
We need to safeguard our minds alright!!!
