  thats my opinion because the wts really has been preaching false information now for so long about the end times and armageddon soon.. also the doctrine that jesus chirt has taken a position over his earthly and heavenly kingdom in 1914 .... etc.

  its been a winfall marketing scheme for such a long time, which now really doesn't have much leg to stand on.. time in conjunction with reality has made the wts's doctrines redundantly weak or useless more or less.. i'm even believing the leaders of the wts are even starting to know this for themselves.. the wts future and its main supporting pieces of literature, the watchtower and awake magazines may eventually be tossed aside.

  for some new doctrines as well newly named pieces of literature .

  Aliens/Demons

  just curious, am i the only one who considers the possibility that " demons " may be " aliens".

  or that aliens are other races who have sided with demons, and that we are going to see some serious " war of the worlds " stuff, vaporization included?

  maybe there are other races of beings giving the governments help or influencing them?

  Evolution is still a theory. Just because religious dogma is offensive is no reason to switch to scientific dogma. By following the very simple scientific method, no one can prove evolution at this time. I can however be proven that I am alive, because I pass the captcha test to log onto this site. Everyone is free to theorize about whatever they want, and evidence in not conclusive proof. The silly shows on science channels about what the earth will be like a billion years from now are just as silly as saying the earth was made in six days. No one was present at the beginning, and no one will be present a billion years from now to prove or disprove any theory. The evolution business is just as lucrative as the religion business, it is a great business to be in, say whatever you want, or whatever the people giving out grants want to hear, and no one will be around in a Billion years to see wether or not giant Squid/elephant creatures are the dominant species. SCIENTIFIC DOGMA!!

  Sorry to be pissy. No one has proven evolution either. I like to think about " possibilities " , it can be fun. Mr Freeze, that dude in the picture is a nut! 00DAD, this thread did go down hill. Why can't people just admit that they don't know whats going on. Don't hate the idea of a creator of some sort, even if it is a long dead alien race, when you can't disprove it's existence. Religious people should not claim to know it all, and judge other either. Religious hypocrites suck, but don't let that destroy your objectivity. There are some very weird things going on, and the universe is gigantic. Isn't it arrogant to think that we are all alone in the Universe?

  the letter leaked today on "confidentiality" had an infurating set of paragraphs on suicides, attempted suicides, and threatened suicides.

  here is the excerpt.. suicides and attempted or threatened suicides.

  The confidentiality letter protects them, not the rank-and -file. It can also protect an Elder who threatens suicide because of mental unbalance. This happened in my congregation. Elder Judgey Mc timeslip goes mental and check himself into the looney bin. A close family member, also a high ranking Elder makes sure the congregation never knows, after all its confidential. So after being released, Judgey Mc Timeslip keeps right on serving. No one knows to this day, except family and one sneaky dub. Brother Judgey Mc Timeslip is still a pillar of strength against apostasy.

  Everyone here knows what asexual reproduction is. That's called sarcasm, masturbation is funnier than asexual reproduction. The fact is that no one can prove how we got here. You should watch " No intelligence Allowed ". I think we all know about weiners and clits, and what not ( weiner is funnier than penis).

  Is the Governing Body overdue to make new appointments?

  i'm doing some research for a new blog article on the governing body.

  it's in a question-and-answer or "faq" format, and attempts to give simple but well-founded answers to most questions that people could conceivably ask about the governing body.. one thing i noticed when looking at the history of the governing body is that we seem to be in the middle of a lengthy "dry spell" when it comes to making new appointments.. gerrit losch is currently the longest-serving member having been appointed in 1994. however, his appointment came at the end of a 17 year period in which no appointments were made.

  this contrasts notably with the remarkable six-year period between 1971 and 1977 when 15 members were added.. since losch's appointment, 4 members were added in 1999 (herd, lett, pierce and splane) and 2 more recently in 2005 (morris and jackson).. the seven year spell since the last appointments were made has seen the deaths of barber, barr, jaracz, shroeder and sydlik - cutting the number of governing body members almost in half.

  WTBTS & Local Corporate Structure, KH Ownership, Finances, Etc

  i had posted this in response to some questions on the napa valley ca court case thread... i am starting a new thread and reposting it here.... there was some previous discussion going on about the wtbts's many corporations, ownership of kh's, articles of incorporation, non-profit status, how kh loans and finances work, etc.

  well, good news, i don't want to disclose too much information about myself, but let's just say in my profession, i do a lot of work in this area of expertise.

  to answer the question about ownership of kh's though, each congregation is required by the wtbts to set up a non-profit corporation in their particular state with the secretary of state, or corporations division, or businesses division.

  I am no accountant. This is all way above my paygrade. Does all this explain why every month the local congregation can barely pay the bills, but 2 seconds before they just said we had a ton of money? We have money, but we can't use it because it is dedicated to the Temple!!!

  The rank-and-file sheeple are unaware of everything. The C.O will be nice and sweet for awhile, because the GB are master manipulators. They know exactly when to say " i love you, and won't hit you again" and when do give you a fresh one. Even sheep will lay down and die if you beat them for too long. The key is the beating/soothing cycle. Off topic, here is a fun social experiment you can do. Go to a meeting, preferrably a sunday talk, and during the talk listen to " Sheep " by Pink Floyd over and over, and just look at the sheeple. I am getting goosebumps!!!
