  Yes those are my experiences that just hit last year. People ask me why it took so long. I reply, it took me that long to be brave.
  
  I hid my face in Panorama. I ain't hiding anymore. This organisation is corrupt to the core and it's high time they changed their evil ways.

  I know just how evil that person is and thank you for sharing that with me. I wonder if Stephen Bates would be able to get in contact with me, for any hard copies? Just to show how much they are covering up.
  
  This needs to be done in Scotland.
  
  Sadly, my whole family have now stopped speaking to me since my experiences hit The Mirror, The Sun and The Daily Record in quick succession of each other. My mother especially, should be a parent, love her kids unconditionally and pick up the phone to say "I'm here for you"
  
  She has done nothing!
  
  For that conditional love, I am truly sorry that such souls exist and it literally breaks my heart. However, my heart has now turned stone cold towards them. I can never let any of them back in for fearing it may break again. I am stronger than I ever was now.

  I wonder if anyone is still here on this thread, wow it has been 16 years. I am Alison's sister and recently went public. It took me 15 years to go fully public with my story, rather than hide in what was next, the Panorama film of 2002.
  
  I wonder if anyone has hard copies? I am trying to get as much evidence as possible because I am going to go to the Scottish Government. I want 3 things done.
  
  1) Mandatory Reporting Laws for ANY organisation. This means that anyone who is in a position of authority/trust and hears of any allegation of abuse, has to take it to the police. That they are personally responsible to forward that information onward to the police.
  
  2) Personal Responsibility - in the case where an allegation has already been heard by a person in a position of authority/trust and he/she has not taken the action to call the police or child protection services that they be guilty of complicity in the act done.
  
  3) Tougher sentencing for Sex offenders towards children. - In my ideal world they would be sent to snake island, but we are not living in my ideal world. So in this world I wish to put forward a proposal for tougher sentencing on these criminals.
  
  As a survivor of this abuse, I am literally abhorred at the leniency of the sentences that these criminals have served. This is abhorrent to me because, I lost my childhood. As an adult I suffer still because of what my abusers had done to me.
  
  I ask that the following be taken into consideration,
  
  A: Adult of 16 years and older looks at child pornography on the internet, depending on the categories of the images to be 3-5 years minimum sentence. No halves for good behaviour.
  5 years for Category C images and/or film,
  7 years for Category B images and/or film,
  10 years for Category A images and/or film,
  
  B: Adult of 16 years and older intends to harm a child, even if the child is a decoy.
  
  3 years minimum sentence.
  
  C: Adult of 16 years and older has touched a child on their genitalia, has groomed a child to touch their genitalia where penetration has not occurred.
  
  15 years minimum sentence.
  
  D: Adult of 16 years and older has penetrated a child.
  
  20 years minimum sentence.
  
  Where the offender has committed several of these offences, each sentence has to run concurrently with the next one, before the parole board considers release. Where the offender has harmed more than one child, each child after that, the sentence to be half of the sentence for the first one,
  
  For example, Offender carries out a D offence to one child, has carried out the same offence to another child.
  
  Offender should be given the 20 years sentence as an absolute minimum and then 10 for each consecutive child he/she has harmed. Offender will be in prison for 30 years until parole is considered.
  
  For example, Offender carries out a C offence to a child and has multiple images and film of a category A nature.
  
  Offender should be given the 15 years as the absolute minimum and then no less than half the sentence of the other offence. Offender will be in prison for 15 years and then anywhere between 5-10 years after the 15 years is up.
  
  When the offender has been released, he/she should be tagged electronically and checked in by officers of the law.

  Just contact the police when the allegation comes through. What;s so hard about putting this into the policy and practicing it? GRRRRRR! So the fight goes on until they do change it for the good of all children, not just JW children.

  i'm not sure whether or not my view on this is correct so please leave your input.

  in recent months i've been viewing youtube videos.

  again, it might just be my view but there has been an increased amount of random people grabbing a camera and doing vlogs.

  I agree. What is wrong with being peaceful? Make them see that we are not mentally diseased. I totally understand anger and bitter resentment. But to take your anger out on the current JW's who are still programmed is utterly despicable. It solidifies the belief that we are all mentally diseased, liars etc etc. Take it out with the policy makers, reason from the scriptures, even if you no longer hold a christian faith because let's face it, the JW's did teach us well. By using the scriptures I believe it helps to shake the rocky foundations their faith is built upon, especially when asking questions. That is how we got our bible studies, remember? By using the scriptures at the doorstep, it had two agendas. Destroy the belief the householder had at that moment, and indoctrinate them to the JW's. We knew how to do it then, so we can still do it now to save our friends and our family members from this wicked cult. Chip slowly, don't give them too much of a mouthful that they choke and stick with what they know. Little seeds, to be dropped, make them question their faith in the organisation, not their faith in their God. And absolutely everything should be done lawfully.

  Hi well I am now Wiccan, how cool is that ? Actually I first thought of joining Wicca to "Stick it to the Man" in the words of Jack Black. Kind of thought, yay let's go over to the dark side kind of deal. Let's turn to paganism, the devil worshippers and so and so forth.

  Only to find out that Wicca, has absolutely nothing to do with Satan, that's a christian concept. Wiccans are white witches. Good, and kind, and healing and grounded and peaceful beings. They love nature, they love everything around them, and they are surrounded by love.

  So I really like the choice I made to become Wiccan. But for years I felt like their was something else calling me anyway. I would get psychic moments, like I would think of someone and they would phone, or drop by. Just one example of many I have.

  Go for it. Explain to them what witchcraft is all about. Study up on your girlfriend's (soon to be wife) beliefs. And be armed with knowledge. Knowledge is power. :)

  Role Reversal: Placing 1969 Awake with JW's Manning the New Portable Literature Displays

  in recent weeks the jw’s here in the uk have been setting up their new portable watchtower literature displays in my local town square on a saturday morning.

  as they hadn’t knocked on my door for at least five years, and consequently feeling somewhat neglected, i thought that i would pay them a visit instead.. .

  the first thing i needed to do was arrange my literature.

  Absolutely Brilliant

  I actually choked at one point, shed a tear at how brilliant this is.

  I then asked 14 year old Emma if she thought the end of the world would come within her lifetime. Absolutely, she replied. Would she care to put a time frame on it. Within 30 years, she declared.

  I am thinking of that 14 year old girl, that, the same could be said of myself at 14, going on door to door preaching, wanting to become a nurse and not bothering furthering my education because we would not need nurses in the "new world". I too thought the new system would have came by the time I was at least 30 (now over 30) .

  Well done for giving the girl critical thinking skills. I really hope she looks it up. I also hope she continues her education and becomes a vet. I am now a mother of 4 children. I may not be a nurse in a hospital but I count my blessings on what I do have. I am glad that my children have critical thinking skills and question constantly, and form their own opinions on religious teachings.

  there has been some interest recently about the moyle case, and how it may have set a precident in what became the society's disfellowshipping policy.

  in july 1939, the chief legal counsel of the watchtower bible & tract society, olin r. moyle, resigned from his position in a protest over conditions at bethel and rutherford's mistreatment of workers.

  he did not want to continue living under those conditions and he felt he could effect positive change for his brothers by taking such a stand.

  Really interesting thread, one I enjoyed reading. I never helped out in bethel at all. I visited the London office once. I watched the video with the big mountian on front of it with awe. Wow how much work they actually do and bla bla. Not once being so young and niave at the time did I ever think that these sorts of dealings were going on. And Jehovah's Witnesses are meant to be Christan and have Christian like qualities ? J.F.R. does not sound like he ever was a true Christian to me and if that's what's been passed down to the rest of the congregations for all these years then I am trully glad I left 13 years ago.

  the gloves are now well-and-truly off.

  referring to facebook as a "social networking website" clearly isn't working.. the society now feels compelled to start being more specific about which websites it doesn't want you to visit!.

  WTBTS getting scared now. The fact that millions of apostates are on there and they don't want their members to find out the real truth. Instead of flat out saying don't go on the site because of apostates, they use something else to sort of scare their slaves into not going onto it at all. If they were to say don't go on there then the logic would be that they would. Because it is human nature to be curious about how bad a site can be. And of course to rebel. I for one have a facebook account, to keep in touch with friends and family across the globe. Does the Governing Body think that people are stupid enough to give out sensitive information ? There are some idiots but surely not everyone is.
