Thank you for your support. I will be sure to ensure that the parliament know about the Four Corners programme as that will give them more of an insight into this organisation. I think that programme is really good because it shows the doctrine, the insularity, how many victims and preds and how many were reported to the police - which we all know was none.

In regards to Watchtower, if they really were God's one true organisation on earth, they would have fessed up, admitted their mistakes, said sorry and would fully co-operate with governmental organisations (which are placed here on earth BY GOD) says so in the bible. But they don't. They lie, obfuscate cases like these which tells me, God is not in this organisation at all. In fact, the complete opposite is in this organisation sadly and too many people are blinded to the real truth because it is a narcissistic abusive organisation in itself and keeps on manipulating people to not hear the real truth about the insidious things going on in there.

I've been out since 1999 and it's taken us this long to get where we are at. Stressful at times, but I am not giving in until every child is protected. All I ask of watchtower is to cooperate with the governing authorities and change their policies. When they hear of an allegation of abuse, call the police - it's really that simple. Stop shunning people - it is not a loving arrangement, for the shunned or the shunners. Stop sacrificing children on surgery tables.

Hi guys

I live in Scotland. I need help from the xjw community. I understand that anyone in the UK and in Australia as it happens, can sign this petition.

I am Angela. I was born in 1980 and my parents converted to "da troof" shortly after my birth. So I guess you can say I was a born in. In the years 1991 - 1995 I was molested by my father. I took this to the elders and of course we all know the story from each and every survivor who has told it, they did nothing. They didn't call the police, they didn't phone child protection in fact they sent me and my sister home with our abusive father even though he confessed. We were both minors.

Further to this, one of the elders on that judicial committee, seen this story as an opportunity. He had already struck in the 1970's which would become apparent to us later on when we watched him being given his sentence. He continues to this day to say he is not guilty and that we all made it up, colluded together to ruin his life. I never knew of the other victims, bar one - my sister.

IICSA (The Independent Inquiry on Child S Abuse for England and Wales) has recently published it's findings. I won't go into the politics of this all, but basically, we could not budge in Scotland until England had concluded there inquiry.

My petition is now live and I have 4 weeks to gather signatures. Could you all please try to sign this and if it is a case where only those can sign it from the UK and the former colonies, could you please share it out? We need as many signatures as we can get for the Scottish Government to consider it.

Earthquake in Victoria Australia

i ,along with many other victorians in australia,experienced my first earthquake this morning about 9:15 am.. it was recorded as a 5.9 magnitude.and an after shock of 4.0 magnitude.. i was having a lay in bed due to the fact my wife had a bad night due to her health problems which affected my sleep as well.. and i thought geeeze she`s making a lot of racket coming up the passage to the bedroom with her walker and then the bed started shaking like crazy .

i thought my computer`s going to hit the deck along with the printer as other things started to fall over.. our house sits on concrete stumps and the thought went through me that the house could collapse ,but thankfully there was no structural damage that i could find.. apparently it was felt far and wide covering most of victoria / nsw and even tasmania.. anybody else here had a similar experience ?.

I have never experienced an earthquake, however my understanding is that they are scary. Keep safe.

Older JW: not happy

this week i visited my sick father in law.. then an old elder from my far away congregation came in for coffee.

did not see him in 15 years.. nice chat.

had a lot to say, is alone, his sick wife disabled and away from home.. he told me: "living alone is so hard.

I have not been around JW's in a very long time as I've been out since 1999 however, I do wonder about the older ones. The ones who were in my congregation, a few were upbeat at the time. I did notice however quite a large number of ones who were not so, and would fall asleep during meetings, conventions and assemblies. Just aimlessly walking around like they were on a different planet sometimes.

I feel for those who have devoted every single bit of time to this organisation and every single piece of spare cash to it too and then wake up and forced with the option of leaving for their sanity, or staying for community. I would encourage them not to leave their estates in wills to the watchtower. Split it between real charities that do charitable work like Make a Wish foundation, or a homegrown local charity, like feeding the homeless and others which truly help out those in your own community. Not the Jw organisation who are going to use it to buy armani suits and rolex watches for the higher up governing body. They tell people to take a vow of poverty, yet they are sitting living in the lap of luxury? Just like the 1% of the world and the 99% have to share the rest of the wealth. It's not fair.

Mind you, we know what God says about money ;)

Yes those are my experiences that just hit last year. People ask me why it took so long. I reply, it took me that long to be brave.

I hid my face in Panorama. I ain't hiding anymore. This organisation is corrupt to the core and it's high time they changed their evil ways.

This needs to be done in Scotland.

Sadly, my whole family have now stopped speaking to me since my experiences hit The Mirror, The Sun and The Daily Record in quick succession of each other. My mother especially, should be a parent, love her kids unconditionally and pick up the phone to say "I'm here for you"

She has done nothing!

For that conditional love, I am truly sorry that such souls exist and it literally breaks my heart. However, my heart has now turned stone cold towards them. I can never let any of them back in for fearing it may break again. I am stronger than I ever was now.

I wonder if anyone is still here on this thread, wow it has been 16 years. I am Alison's sister and recently went public. It took me 15 years to go fully public with my story, rather than hide in what was next, the Panorama film of 2002.

I wonder if anyone has hard copies? I am trying to get as much evidence as possible because I am going to go to the Scottish Government. I want 3 things done.

1) Mandatory Reporting Laws for ANY organisation. This means that anyone who is in a position of authority/trust and hears of any allegation of abuse, has to take it to the police. That they are personally responsible to forward that information onward to the police.

2) Personal Responsibility - in the case where an allegation has already been heard by a person in a position of authority/trust and he/she has not taken the action to call the police or child protection services that they be guilty of complicity in the act done.

3) Tougher sentencing for Sex offenders towards children. - In my ideal world they would be sent to snake island, but we are not living in my ideal world. So in this world I wish to put forward a proposal for tougher sentencing on these criminals.

As a survivor of this abuse, I am literally abhorred at the leniency of the sentences that these criminals have served. This is abhorrent to me because, I lost my childhood. As an adult I suffer still because of what my abusers had done to me.

I ask that the following be taken into consideration,

A: Adult of 16 years and older looks at child pornography on the internet, depending on the categories of the images to be 3-5 years minimum sentence. No halves for good behaviour.
5 years for Category C images and/or film,
7 years for Category B images and/or film,
10 years for Category A images and/or film,

B: Adult of 16 years and older intends to harm a child, even if the child is a decoy.

3 years minimum sentence.

C: Adult of 16 years and older has touched a child on their genitalia, has groomed a child to touch their genitalia where penetration has not occurred.

15 years minimum sentence.

D: Adult of 16 years and older has penetrated a child.

20 years minimum sentence.

Where the offender has committed several of these offences, each sentence has to run concurrently with the next one, before the parole board considers release. Where the offender has harmed more than one child, each child after that, the sentence to be half of the sentence for the first one,

For example, Offender carries out a D offence to one child, has carried out the same offence to another child.

Offender should be given the 20 years sentence as an absolute minimum and then 10 for each consecutive child he/she has harmed. Offender will be in prison for 30 years until parole is considered.

For example, Offender carries out a C offence to a child and has multiple images and film of a category A nature.

Offender should be given the 15 years as the absolute minimum and then no less than half the sentence of the other offence. Offender will be in prison for 15 years and then anywhere between 5-10 years after the 15 years is up.

When the offender has been released, he/she should be tagged electronically and checked in by officers of the law.
