  first off, i am not a jw anymore,was one for over 20 years.haven't set foot in the kingdom hall for 9 years.

  my question is"why not be truthful about what this site is?

  "this site is set up to look at first appearence as a legitimit witness site.why the "front"?if users here are proud of their x-jw status,or are proud of the fact they have left the wbts organization,why isn't this site named x-jehovah witness.com ?

  Naeblis, yes,but wouldn't you feel screwed if you went to KFC for chicken,and all they served was hamburgers?

  Andee, i must have missed that part in the bible where Jesus told his followers to use deception to lure the masses in.I remember the part
  Eve and the snake,and the Samson story.I must have been asleep during
  that bible study. LOL

  Boozy, do you pray to god with that mouth? I thought "I" was an XJW in search of facts. after hearing for 20+ years that the WBTS opposes the UN,its hard for me to believe its been "Johning" its self to the U.N.
  I have written to the WBTS for there side of the issue.If their explanition of the situation is not sastisfactory in answering the question,I will come before this board and admit the "dark side" has won me over.

  larc, teejay sumed up what i was thinking in his first paragraph.
  I appoligize to senoir posters for sterotyping their" senoir" status.
  what i should have said was "with the exception of larc, and about 10 other posters, out of over three thouand registered users,an X-JW can be the victim of personal attacks if he or she in any way agrees with any part of the WBTS" is that better?

  Boozy,larc, here is the reason I feel the way I do.inside every JW book,it says that it is printed in part by the "INTERNATIONAL BIBLE STUDENTS ASSOCIATION" I have never heard of the WBTS claim to be a U.S. organization."world Wide Organization" is the term i heard growing up.The WBTS has offices all over the world, making them

  larc, i think you responed with reason unlike the first(attack) responce to my post. my point was, that everything in this country
  at some point has to be registered so the goverment can keep tabs, so to speak on it.As far as senoir posters doing personal attacks, reread these three pages,they are full of personal attacks on other posters.

  hi victoria,
  dont let some of these posters scare ya, I think your great!!!
  I've noticed on this board that if you dont agree with the senoir posters,they attack instead of being open minded.I was a JW years ago
  and I think the UN thing is bogus. I compare it to the fact that i was a JW when I turned 18, and had to register for the draft.My name is on a list now being held by the goverment.Does that make me part of the military? no. it was the law that i register. I see the UN thing no different.Anyone who was ever a JW knows the WBTS is not part of the UN. The same way I'm registered for the draft, but not part of the military
