  perhaps i've just been logging on at the right time but i've seen no insane eschatology or prophecy from our resident messiah/prophets and of course, rick isn't spamming the board and everything just seems .

  I too am mourning the loss of freedom of speech on the forum. Two of the most intelligent and thought provoking posters are now gone. (Thank god their old post don't disappear when they go. Loads of great stuff to go back and read from both.)

  I heartily agree. I will miss King Solomon and Slimboyfat. It might as well help me with my JWN addiction. I don't care anymore what happens to the WT. Life isn't fair, anyway.

  Because I don't have all the answers and I like to pretend that there's someone that listens to my concerns when I feel I can't bear them alone. I don't pray to a specific God or Gods, and I'm deist, so I don't believe that God or Gods intervene (but I still like pretending he/she/it/they do/does, even though it's selfish of me when I think about others).

  It doesn't do our cause much good to stereotype elders like that, if lurkers come to the site they could quickly dismiss the arguments being made.

  I had to be very open-minded (obviously) when I found this website. As Russel said: “A truth presented by Satan himself is just as true as a truth stated by God. . . . Accept truth wherever you find it, no matter what it contradicts” (WT 7/1879, pp. 8-9). I hear out everyone regardless.

  Please excuse my ignorance and my taking things literally, but is a 'window-washer' someone who just does that? Or is that what you fellows call custodians? I also think (assume) the point trying to emphasized is that JWs are not too keen on education?

  

  Is this the type of 'window-washer' referred to in the OPs first post?
