I'm pretty sure she is lovely, but I can't see the picture. Thanks for sharing, though.

The sad part is that I can't ask any questions without seeming like an apostate; they'll go in cult mode right away.

The WT Encourages JWs to learn about the early history of the organization! - 8/15/12 WT
by 00DAD inironically, in today's wt, jws are encouraged to study the early history of the "earthly organization".
like them [the sons of korah], do you have a desire to study and recount the history of the earthly part of jehovahs organization?
the more you learn about gods organization and how jehovah supports his people, the more real gods kingdom will be to you.

They want to encourage to read the sanitized version so when they hear the true version they will say, "ahhh don't bother I already heard it all".
So true. During the WT study an uber, over-zealous elder said a householder tried to tell him something about Russel. He didn't bother listening, because he read "everything" about him in the Proclaimer book. He pretty much said he knew more than the householder, and that he was unqualified to tell him anything.

The GB of today sure hates Charles Taze Russell
by Eustace inthe whole concept of the faithful and discreet slave in the jw religion goes back to charles taze russell and/or his followers calling him the faithful and wise servant.
how in the blue blazes can they say he wasn't part of the faithful and discreet slave?.
quite a demotion, it must be said, from the faithful and discreet slave in the flesh to not even being a part of something that rutherford's lowly henchmen on the board of directors got to be a part of!.

Lies Continue On New JW.org Sited . How Many Can You Spot?
by BlindersOff1 indo you shun former members of your religion?.
those who were baptized as jehovah's witnesses but no longer preach to others, perhaps even drifting away from association with fellow believers, are not shunned.
in fact, we reach out to them and try to rekindle their spiritual interest.. .

I hate that I went along with everything. I don't think there would be many new converts if studies were told of all the details and fine print.

I got offered a ticket, but I don't want to go. It's probably going to be mainly about money.

Honestly I had to be very open minded when I first found this website. At first I had trouble believing things here, but then when I realized they were true, and not some fabrications, it hit me hard and I got addicted. Candace Conti's case was really helpful too.

What Can We Do to Show How We Cared about Oompa?
by Band on the Run ini know others have posted on the original thread.
several people, including myself, would like to do something concrete to show our concerns re: his treatment by the jw, and how important he was to all of us here.
i suggested a handwritten note, on behalf of the whole community here, flowers, and perhaps a donation to a charity that helps people get back on their feet.

So the flowers idea was bad? A local flower shop could be contacted instead and asked to deliver them.
