Do Not Call List
by anglise indo not call list.
an ex-jw in the uk has come up with a brainwave!!.
he canvassed his local area and came up with a signed list of several thousand householders who did not wish to be called on again by jehovahs witnesses.. this list was then handed to the local congregations and the london bethel who were then obliged to list all those households as do not calls.. has anyone else tried this?

Hi all, for the benefit of saving trees, stamps and for
the convenience of people who wish to go out and collect
names. Rather than send an individual letter for each
person a petition would suffice just as well. Such as
the below which Roy uses.----------
For the urgent attention of <local kingdom hall>
The undersigned persons have sinified that they do mot wish to
have any person calling at these addresses in connection with the
creed or beliefs of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society (Jehovah's
Witnesses). This means they are also not to call on the pretence that
they may have moved.Name Address Date

Thank you Mike, shortly I'll be creating a form for the OnRoad
webpage which for practical and economical reasons can only
deal with UK Bethel.Since there is no known email address for UK WT (which could
be easily blocked anyway), they will be printed out and sent
via snail mail.rEkLEsS rEVeNGe (webmaster)

The site isn't part of M$N communities. on the contrary, if you
look closely at the site you'll notice it is created on Amiga
and hosted by a UK company.Further, your suggestion to mention USA law is irrelevant to UK.
But thanks for you constructive critiscm.rEkLEsS rEVeNGe (webmaster)

Hi All
I can confirm that Mr Roy Calloway has indeed collected over 7000
signatures and posted them off to Bethel. For anyone who wishes
to do the same, here is what he sends...-----------------------------------------------------------------------
<Insert name and address>
To whom it may concern.
Please could you notify the body of elders in charge of the local
congregation of my area of the following:I do not want any representatives of your organisation to call at
the above address, for any reason other than if I inform you
specifically that I am interested.This also means that I do not want you to call under the pretence
of me having moved from the above address.I would also appreciate confirmation of my request for future
reference.Yours Sincerely
<Your name>
