if she is a good worker, she is a good worker. I wouldn't be hard on her for being a JW. The only thing I may have done was got it in writing that she knew the hours would vary and would be required to work them if necessary. In any case, I hope she works out for you.

Interview at work
by Kool Jo ini conducted an interview for a job last week......... kool jo: welcome to company "x", thank you for taking the time out to attend the interview session as scheduled.. jw applicant: thank you for the oppurtunity.. kool jo: you have an amazing resume, so tell me some more about yourself.... so i asked some traditional questions and then we get to point of the discussion pertaining to....you guessed it...work schedule.. kool jo: so in this industry, you have to be able to work varying hours/shifts ect...since you're going to be the rookie.. jw applicant: well i really love the oppurtunity and i've been unemployed for a while, but i have some questions...would i be able to get saturdays, sundays, and thursday evenings off?.
kool jo: i won't be able to guarantee you that...our clients can be quite demanding and we have to fit into their schedule.. jw applicant: well, the truth is, i'm one of jehovah's witnesses, and i have commitments that are very important to me, hence my reason for asking.. kool jo: (a big wtf moment)...i just pretended i didn't know a thing about jw's....so what happens if a client wants to meet with you on a saturday morning?.
jw applicant: well, i guess i'd have to come for work...you have no idea how happy i am to even be called for an interview.

New Handbill Campaign
by NoRegrets inapparently the jws are doing a new handbill campaign.
they were just at my door and offered it to me with one of their heartless and scripted presentations.
the religion has just become so dumbed down.

"As sure as Alabama will beat Auburn, these special tracts will be placed."
So now SFPW has a problem that needs to be fixed, and I am here to help. You see he did not say that Alabama would beat auburn in 2013, it was us the readers that read into that. It is our faults for assuming he meant yesterday. Nor did he say that these special tracts would be placed, visibly. You see even he did not understand his prophecy at the time. In fact the tracts were placed, invisibly. And the alabama victory over auburn is a future event that will happen very soon. In fact it will happen in SFPW's generation of contemporaries. So anyone that was alive while he was alive will be included. Therefore it is evident that SFPW's prophecy was guided by Holy Spirit and we should have the utmost faith in his future football predictions.

I successfully went the whole month without placing one tract! Plenty will go in the garbage.

Catching Fire
by DS211 ini just watched catching fire with my wife and i loved it.
i felt i could relate to many characters..but what really built me up was the courage that katniss and her friends had to stand up even when lresent with harsh persecution.

Quotes to discourage JWs from researching WT history?
by JWOP inare there any direct quotes from the watchtower's literature that discourages investigation into their past doctrines and practices?.
-
SloppyJoe
I will admit I only searched the watchtower, not all publications. Seeing they are printing it back the right way in not so public publications, I will certainly be watching to see how they print it in the watchtower again in the future. With the amount of proof reading that the literature goes through, I find it difficult to believe no one caught the slight difference but very different meaning.

So you think that was just a typo? The magazine that gets passed out to everyone vs the book that JWs get. Any JW knows the real title of that talk, no outsider does. Only time will tell if they try it again. You failed to answer why they printed it that way...

SFPW, I'm curious you said JWs have nothing to be ashamed of or hide. Go to the watchtower online library wol.jw.org and type in millions now living will never die. The last time this talk by Rutherford was mentioned was in the 2/15 2010 watchtower. Look at what they changed the title to in that article and then tell me why they did please.

SFPW, will you answer me two questions? (That was the first). Do you get a big grin on your face when you make some of your posts knowing the potential riot you may be starting?

Who is the Faithful and Discrete Slave?
by Etude inrecently, i've had memories about that topic, which i had suppressed for a long time.
my original question came up when i encountered a few members of the "anointed" in my congregation (we're talking almost 30 years ago).. there was one sister who partook of the "emblems" who had come from cuba.
i learned from her that her health was frail because she had smuggled some expensive jewelry in a condom and stuck it up her colon.

A JW would just rationalize that you just had to wait in Jehovah to straighten things out and give no thought to the matter past that.
