Who's lying?

today i found out that the elder i admired and thought to be above reproach, was commiting adultery.

the body of elders found out, and he was not removed.

he also gave his part at the assembly.. this is the same elder that told me not to get married.

Today I found out that the elder I admired and thought to be above reproach, was commiting adultery. The body of elders found out, and he was not removed. He also gave his part at the assembly.
This is the same elder that told me not to get married. I would be disfellowshipped. So...rock my world!!!! I guess the elders are at times immune to the rules. Or is this part of the rules?
The adulterous sister even admitted to the wrong doing. Go figure....Oh yeah...I'm getting married June 22.
The sooner I am away from the org., the better!!!

A very bad day

today i arrived at work thinking that this would be a day like any other.

has been a combination of joy, sorrow, and relief.. my niece in new mexico left me a message this morning.

my sister died yesterday.

Sorry, so very, very, sorry for your loss. The loss of a sister while living, and the loss of your sister in death.
It is good that you will now be able to reunite with the rest of your family. I wish you joy in all you are about to experience. I wish you peace with the passing of your sister.

Elders/former Elders, help with this?

actually, i don't care if you ever were an elder if you can find the appropriate reference in the wt for the following situation:.

with all the discussion lately about the need for "two witnesses" to make an accusation valid, i've been thinking about divorce (and ultimately, remarriage) on the grounds of adultery.

in most cases, an adulterous mate does not commit the deed in public.

What if you have the confession from the mate on tape, but only stating that they stayed the weekend together? Of course there's a lot more to the story....

Well, I just had to express my morning moods. I love mornings and most people don't. I have time to put my thoughts together and prepare for anything.

Don't ya just hate it? Why can't your family just love you and be proud of your accomplishments? For you to start and run a business is something that makes you think about he reality of your life.
I have 2 businesses. When I started the first one, I was attending all meetings, and still working at least 120 hours a week. I decided that the society wasn't going to give the money to support my family, so I gave up some meetings. You keep doing what you need to do to feel good about yourself and take care of yourself and family.
I know how you feel about not wanting to be found out about yet. When the time is right for you, and all of your JW friends and family start ignoring you, you will be a lot more comfortable with your decisions to be an individual.
Keep happy. Enjoy your work. Give your kids (if you have any) something to look up to you for.

okay hi.

i'm new here and i kinda like it but i do have some question have any of you grown up in the truth and then some were along the line stop going to meeting well i did i found out about some stuff the organization was doing and it really disapointed me and also the congregations i have been in haven't been very confornting so if any of you have some you want to talk about or you have been through the same i would really like to hear from you .

I was nevr bt and glad of it and a far as im conserned the so called elders can eat my >>>..... It was so hard to stay awake and it was like my eyes were glued to my wrist (watch) since I havnt been to a meeting I ahve found that I really do havea life and the friends that I have now are real friends not back stabers

NO I don't have any family in the truth but some close friends are and yes I was rasid a jwwhen I ws younge I thougt I d like t but come to find ot It just isnt for me I tryed the door to door thing and the sweet little inosent girl that dont miss a meeting bt that went out the window. after a while i couldent wait tll the meeting was over and I mad excuses not to go I was also considerdbad asotion because my only friend in the hall was a boy 5 years older than me that new what I was going through I was taken to the back room even if we just said hi it was almost like talking to him was worse than sleping with him you now wat I mean.
