  hi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

  i'm glad to be out of the workforce.. never thought it would come to this in a supposed democratic society.. no wonder protests and law suits are increasing in intensity.

  If you could pick out critical errors to the JWS religion what would it be ?

  many that have come to this forum have left the jws religion and moved on with their lives but from a outsider's viewpoint what do think makes the jws religion wrong or incorrect as a active christian faith ?.

  somethings come to mind such as its long continuous end times/armageddon soon doctrine which has really been a core doctrine for decades going right back to its beginning .. maybe they should have adopted the stance as other christian based faiths and adhered to jesus's own words when he said " no one knows of the time not even he ".

  The sheer audacity of a 19th century store keeper (Russell) believing that "God's Organisation" had disappeared after the first century and that God was now directing him and only him to revive the Eternal Truths to the whole world would in our current times be diagnosable in DSM-5 as psychosis....

  he seems to me to be the angriest and most ill-tempered of all the wt presidents, especially after his stint in prison and failed prophecies.. “regarding his misguided statements as to what we could expect in 1925, he [rutherford] once confessed to us at bethel, “i made an ass of myself.”” watchtower 1984 oct 1 p.24.

  rutherford died at beth sarim on january 8, 1942, at the age of 72.

  Don't forget it was the Great Depression when he bought these (yes there were two). There is a story that they were "gifts" from wealthy power families in the jws but really?
  

  Imagine how many dirt poor and possibly starving jws gave pennies to this organisation thinking it would be spent on god's work only to see it spent on a bachelor pad in trendy 30's L.A. etc

  active non-believer... go to meetings and field service to please family... living a double life .

  inactive believer...don't attend meetings but believe it's the truth, one day might go back to kingdom hall.

  I have no idea. Once I opened my eyes I never stepped foot into a kh again and refused to speak to the (attempted) hounders.

  Do old time present day active JW`s genuinely believe in overlapping generations ?

  for the life of me i can not come to terms with old timers in the "truth" who could swallow this interpretation of scripture about an overlapping generation .. when jesus spoke about "this generation" .

  are their any real bible students among younger ones any more ?.

  here are 3 bible scriptures that confirm a generation is approximately 40- 50 years long give or take a few years .. 1. matt:1 :17 abraham born 2016-18 bc jesus born 2 bc approx.

  So when god destroys this wicked world and he takes control all animals will be herbivores, yes? Well how come the birds are invited to feast on the carcasses of the wicked?

  If they say it is gradual the obvious question is, so god allows wicked behaviour if it suits his plan?

  wow, just watched a video from the 'world economic forum' , a respectable organization by the way, not the usual conspiracy lunatic theorist.

  it says that by 2030 meat is gonna be a treat not widely available like today, that the us is not gonna be a global superpower anymore, instead a handful of countries will dominate and that people is not gonna own nothing but will be happy.. well, that would help the borg to keep the craziness going on.. thoughts?

  Well,

  After my six+ decades on this planet I have seen convenience increase massively. I have seen information explode. I have seen the population of my country nearly triple. I have seen food choice beyond my wildest dreams. I have seen international travel become so cheap and easy. Material goods beyond our wildest dreams in the 60's...

  But

  I have also seen the loss of the individual. I have seen the loss of privacy, even private thoughts. I see the roads crowded 24/7, tourist places choked and polluted. Loss of national identity as our country is awash with new permanent residents who seem determined not to integrate but keep their individual "community".. Simply too many humans generally... This of course leads to massive pressure on the natural environment.
  

  But the greatest change I've seen is general mental health especially amongst young people. The volume of people medicated or medicating via soft and hard drugs/alcohol is staggering (in my observation). Suicide the silent killer on the rise. Self harming another hidden epidemic. It appears that people cannot adapt fast enough to the rapid changes in the material world but I cannot see the surge in tech slowing any time soon.

  before this year, there were very few that questioned the watchtower.

  they were truly god’s only channel.
