  When You Were Sitting During The Meetings What Were You Really Thinkng About?

  i used to listen to all the stupid comments and wonder if i could sneak out of there and scram!

  even after i resigned as an elder, i went for a while and eventually began missing more and more meetings.

  but while i was there, i'd listen to comments, chuckle to myself how dumb it all was and then go home with the knowledge that my days were numbered there..

  When I was a teenager, my friends and I would have debates about which of the married sisters in their late 30s/40s needed a right good seeing too. Typical pubescent boy stuff.

  Now I wonder about which of the teenage lads is thinking the same thing about my wife. And how I would crush their balls if they ever said anything.

  I also think about all the junk that is being spewed out and how I wish I could just stop going.

  Very useful. I have been looking at these references myself so thanks for saving me the trouble of posting!

  I have spoken to several witnesses now and the "revelation" that the F&DS are just the GB is being treated as if that's old light - so many believed that any way. To many it's more logical anyway.

  The interesting questions are the ones raised above as the real change and more far reaching implication is around the appointment of the F&DS. Since the assignment over "all his belongings" is future there are questions (as partially pointed out above) over:

  - who is the evil slave

  - how does this relate to the parable of the talents, especially since, in that parable, it is how the assigned belongings have been managed that determines the future prospects of the slave

  - could the GB still be judged as being the evil slave - after all WT04 3/1 p13 pp2 says that "the evil slave came from the ranks of the faithful slave".

  - are the domestics currently under obligation to consider the F&DS (not yet appointed over belongings) as having the full authority of the master.

  - where in the parable does it say Jesus came a first time to do the initial appointment and then again to appoint over the belongings? Surely it makes logical sense for a master to appoint a manager when he is leaving (i.e. as per the 33CE original understanding). This is compounded by the 1914 presence and 1919 appointment gap

  - why has it taken so long to work this out bearing in mind the F&DS were appointed almost 100 years ago

  I guess these will be addressed in future Watchtowers but this does change a whole load of stuff just through implication.

  Interestingly, p18 of the OD book states that "There are many reasons to have complete trust in the slave class. First and foremost, Jesus has appointed them over all his precious "belongings." This is a clear indication that he has complete trust in them.". According the new understanding Jesus does not yet have the evidence to put full trust in the F&DS as they are still proving themselves in advance of a future inspection....

  we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.

  fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.

  i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

Interesting that it comes out on the web and not the WT. perhaps the GB realise the web makes it impossible to keep this contained.

  It is OFFICIAL they want MORE MONEY : NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

  i just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.

  although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .

  the society in brief,requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.
