  well?

  we're all waiting on the other side of the pond to hear the latest "new lights" being revealed - it'll save us waiting - sometime for months!!.

  seriously, due to past articles & teachings - especially july 15th 2013 - the rumblings of people awakening are clearly being heard.. hence christ's repeated warnings about "staying awake" and "keeping on the watch" as well as 'testing inspired expressions' to see where they really originate!.

  have you heard any examples of elders sending people forth to ferret out doubters and people who may spread discontent?

  @coldsteel... just to clarify as well that there is no out & out ban on higher education. There is a very strong social pressure not to follow that course however.

  If an appointed person (e.g. elder, MS or pioneer) encourages one of their family to attend university then their qualifications can be reviewed - which usually means they will lose the privalage. Very few persons attending a course would be given privilages in the congregation. R&F members may feel they have to view one who attends university with spiritual suspicion.

  No one would be forced to give up a course if they joined the congregation but the society is only too happy to document examples of those have decided to give up their education once learning the "truth".

  I've not heard of people being officially tasked with being a spy, such as having an identity on here for example, but they don't have to in many cases as the culture encourages grassing people up. If someone starts to fade then there are plenty of people who will take it on themselves to swing past the house at Christmas to see if there are any lights, spread a little disinformation about where and when they have seen somebody potentially engaged in "unwise" activities, spread a little gossip about the spiritual health of someone to their friends etc.

  Elders will also use social events and innocuous shepherding calls to ask seemingly innocent questions or get ones to express an opinion that will later be used against them.

  The whole control aspect of the religion is based around conformance to social rules and undermining the perception of ones adherence to these moves them into a "unacceptable" box which then means others have no guilt about gossip, slander, lies and underhand tactics regarding "weak" ones.

  School for Congregation Elders

  i attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.

  i was already divided in my heart to say the least.

  one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.

  How did the 1919 GB know they were chosen ?

  the present gb/fds claim a kind of apostolic succession going back to the now claimed first appearance of the fds in 1919.. i don't think anywhere is it made clear who made up the fds then, but let us go along with the fiction, (in reality we know only rutherford really ruled the roost) and assume there was a group of guys who were the fds, how did they know they were chosen as such ?.

  there obviously is nothing in the wt writings of the time as all this is noo lite, so, if they did not know their heaven appointed role, why would they carry it out, except by accident?

  and if so, how could they possibly produce "food at the proper time "?.
