So the overlapping gens came out at the general meeting 3 years ago - by that I assume you mean 2010 as it come out big time at the convention in the summer of 2011. So some people would not have got the new light until a year after the privileged ones with tickets got it. Thanks for the food at the proper time.

The New Diary of Winston Smith

we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.

fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.

i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

The best way to help any JW out is to remain active

attacking from the outside will always prove to be unproductive.

it is more effective to remain inside the domain while raising people's consciousness and letting them see all the flaws behind the farce.

i have tried it and i have gotten 47 people out in 6 months, while i am still seen as a publisher in good standing.. .

I can't accept you have got that many out, or even made them inactive, in that short a time yet are still under the radar. Don't forget it takes 6 months to be classed as inactive.

Either way, it's a hard enough job trying to work a route that will mean I can get my family out, especially if trying to minimise the repurcussions. I am a serving MS. My wife and I are 2nd gen and my kids are, by implication, 3rd gen. You don't drop off the radar in a matter of weeks. The only thing I agree with is that it is perhaps easier to do this if active but it by default has to be a long process.

Whatever way round you put it, the blood still has to be donated. It stil has to be harvested and processed. It astounds me that the illogical nonsense of this basic reality continualy goes over most Witness's heads.

in the the early 1970's, i used to enjoy going to assemblies, conventions and hear special talks given by bethel heavies.. in those days, we were believers and we applied ourselves as "ministers" with pride.. once the "end" was obviously not within our "generation", many of us started losing interest.. we started to think more critically.

it took a long time but once you start recognizing the bullsh*t, it's hard to stay in and truly believe at the same time.. .

I've had long standing misgivings on blood, the generations, the flood and age of man. Certain other things have ade me question the organisation and it's structure, especially the legalistic nature of things. Coming here and related sites as well as reading CoC etc has exposed thing like 607, what they believed in Tazes day etc.

Now I just wish I could stop with consequence but there is no room for movement.
