That is I think "other"
But ask Likeabird!

i don't know about you, but i love saturday mornings...now that crawling out of bed on a cold november morning to go and knock on doors is no longer on the agenda.
does that sense of being free ever grow old?
i hope not any time soon at least.. this week we've had quite a few atheist vs believer threads along with speculation on what the actual numbers are on jwn :.

Great job! Love HW
i was listening this morning to the experience of sonia "sunny" jacobs, who was on death row for a long time, until her case was properly dealt with.. she explained that upon leaving prison after all those years it was amazing !
"the colours!
" she said, in prison all is grey or black , but outside in the free world, so many colours!.
Yup agree! Good illustration!

Like thinkingest the most:)
does anyone else feel or know that jehovah's witnesses damaged their health?.
i know many have emerged with depression, and i'm very relieved that i am not one of them.. but, being the age i am, (a large tribe of grandchildren) i was nonetheless pressured to go out door to door in steep countryside often in bad weather, and because i was doing my best to keep up that ended in an injury which has proved to be long lasting.. and that's not counting the stress-induced consequences...i won't cite them all here, but physical.
a few days in hospital and a summer spent on compulsory almost complete rest can all be laid at the watchtower's door.the trauma of actually extricating oneself from the borg is not stopped when one has finally written that letter that disassociates oneself from them.
Good thread!
The list of health problems inside are very long! I think I was pretty lucky and came out of everything without a ruined health! I was lucky! Some years were just horrible with to much alcohol and partly depression. Man, education saved my life! I am happy to live!

Thanks for sharing, Sauerkraut!
"I don't really like this question, same goes for the question about what someone's goals are"
- Thanks for your honest view. I agree that it is kind of painful, especially after learning TTATT. Maybe it is a way of creating awarness, so that we do not waste anymore of our precious time!
" Often it was Elders or super "spiritually mature" folks who asked these questions and use it in a way to superficially judge your character. People that want you to serve a purpose that may not really be yours"
- Agree, most elders who asked that question, only used it as an excuse to show how stupid it would be to use your life on anything besides wts activities!
"Purpose is one of these loaded words. I'm no longer sure that life really has a purpose. We can think about purpose all day long forgetting to just live and appreciate what we have. And even if we think our life does have a purpose many things are far beyond our control."
- Yeah, agree again. It is important to appreciate what we have and not forget living.
Stays strong! Live your live til the fullest, Sauerkraut!

Well this one is part experiment and part survey. I mean since this forum is called JWN - it must be related to jehovahs witnesses. Well Anthony is one of the leaders, so his talks and mindset must for sure influence us. In that way he becomes a symbolic father for many people. My question is how his ability to reason has influenced the jwn posters ability to reason and think! To my surprise, many here really seem to be the most thinkingest people around
I say he is the father of "still thinking" jws here. I may be wrong, but let the thinkingest people decide for themselves
