Whatever stand, it's important to respect faith. Faith in God or faith in nothing at all. Some feel happy living life not believeing anything special, some search for God.
Good energy IS important! Positive attitudes are important! No matter what stand we take!

there seems no end of people claiming to be inspired.
there are numerous holy books claiming to have been handed to their writers by god.
these days a person writing their own holy book is likely to be met with scepticism (unless you are a scientologist), so people tend to claim to be inspired to interpret older holy books.

i'm pretty certain in my own mind that certain ones at brooklyn will have been 'assigned' to monitor websites such as this, despite warning the 'flock' that they musn't do the same.
therefore, i expect such ones to pass this on.. my questions may seem "rebellious" to certain ones, but they deserve scriptural, not organizational answers -.
why are we as a worldwide brotherhood, urged to expend ourselves as much as possible in the ministry, discussing and defending with complete strangers our bible based beliefs, (1 peter 3:15) and yet we are expressly forbidden from doing so with our brothers and sisters?

Concerning JW I think you have to recognize that they truly believe to be inspired by God. Their basic motivation was and is a search for meaning in life, as for many other religious people. Some of them may be mentally ill or plain evil, just like in any other political or religious org.
In lack of other options, Russel and his friends honestly thought they could provide healthy spiritual food at the right time. Some of their litterature helps people to change to the better, even today. Unfortunately the org. developed into a corporation with manmade rules as any other religion.
Life with it's fantastic variation, complexity and wisdom, may still raise the question wether or not there is a God. A sound consience may help people to search for the fundamental questions in life, without suppression of other people!
