Another heavy load :Literature Cart Witnessing
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah's witnesses standing on a street corner publicly promoting the propaganda of the governing body!another ridiculous form of "forced loyalty" to jehovah.
"dirty work" that the wtbts make witnesses go through.preaching work '' lite''.putting more heavy loads on members while the ''faithful and discreet slave'' preach from warm studios without the humiliation.
what an embarrassment!.

Perhaps instead of living like kings already, the GB could set a fine example by throwing away their life at the retreat in upstate NY and instead disperse to the 4 corners of the earth. Each could pick a continent (1 can stay behind to do the jw.broadcasting thing or maybe cover the Mid-East if they are so inclined) and head out. They would be like Jesus with no place to lay their head , relying on the kindness of strangers and the local 'friends'. Surely their future reward would be great! -

Doc, there are lots of 'young' men in their 30's who are still very active in the online gaming community. I think for the most part, it falls into the category of don't ask/don't tell. It is an outlet for them. -

Do the others involved know he is an inactive JW or do they just know him as KhaleedTheAvenger? I'm also curious what type of game they are playing. Most would not meet the approval of the GB. -

Sounds like she is ready to make the most of a good university education. I hope she has the opportunity. -

Is Watchtower Really A Real Estate Business?
by OneFingerSalute ini told a still in dubya that the wt was now officially in the real estate buisness.. they looked at me like i had grown a second head.
so i showed them a web site, which they loudly proclaimed to be "apostate".
then i showed them the rest of the web site and asked how long the official jay dubya dot org web site was aligned with an "apostate" web site.. i hate to link that site but as it is somewhat covered up by the dubya's and it may be of some use in making someone think about the money grabs, and the constant begging for more money from those who have little of it for the necessities of life i do so here.

Thank you Jesus. A new homepage for sure.
I loved this bit:
Rare entire city block development site at the foot of the Manhattan Bridge, located in the heart of DUMBO’s energetic live/work/play community.
In other words, not something we as JW's would engage in, but you are welcome to it...

I would just sing the damn songs anyway I like including improvised lyrics, but do it with heartfelt spirit. I'm suprised they haven't created choirs yet... Probably not enough local talent to make it possible though. -

Welcome Darryl. Not from Richmond, but spent a lot (too much) of time attending conventions at the Coliseum. -

It was kind of difficult to avoid the wall of hay bales at the end of my property. I told the young elder (into sports generally) what is was for and asked him if he wanted to give it a try. Nobody had done any archery before, but soon they were all outside giving it a go. I didn't hear any negative comments from either elder or the pioneer sister. I guess as long as you balance it out with a few kingdom melodies later, you are ok. They were joking that next time I needed pistols! -

Update Summary: it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but still they had to sing KM songs.
Details: Thery were supposed to come over directly after the meeting (around 1 pm) but 'apparently' some of them felt the need to get in an hour of service first. They started wandering in at around 2:30, a car load at a time. Of course my wife had told me 3, so I hadn't put the dogs away first. Some had obviously gone home instead of service and changed into street clothes.
I invited one young elder to try his hand at archery and off we went. Soon almost everyone was in my backyard launching arrows toward my target (backed by a wall of hay bales). Good I had done my shooting earlier, because after a few demo's I never got another chance. Then we got called in for dinner. It was a beautiful afternoon for this time of the year in Poland. 50F, no wind, sunny.
Dinner went fine (around 15 total, 2 elders, 1 pioneer). Lots of busy chit-chat. Then when we were done with desert, it was time for some singing! Out came all the iPads, and out I went to the yard. They must have done 10-20 songs, some more than once. I popped in and out (Barking dogs are a great excuse to go check on things), took a brief rest in the bedroom. And finally, they left.
Everyone was polite and gracious. Nobody tried to pidgeon-hole me for a one-on-one. My wife was happy that I helped out so much getting ready for the event. So, I survived. I think the key was she has already made it clear that I have some type of phobia being around large (more than 3 or 4) groups of people. So far it is working.

@stuckinarut: you may have hit on a weak spot. I am not normally hospitable, happy or positive. And I am certainly not interested in what they are doing. As opposed to living a happy and successful life, I'm just 'happy' to still be above ground.
