  I found a silver NWT at a very small library.

  my wife and i went to war eagle ar saturday.

  there is a small library.

  its about 18 inches x 18 inches.

  @carla: ok, my bad. It is good that you agree people should be able to access some books at the public library that you would not allow in your personal library.

  What if one of your (perhaps hypothectical teenage) children came home from the library with a copy of 'Mein Kampf' having heard about it in history class. Would you allow him/her to read it? Would you want to discuss what they thought about it?

  What if they wanted to read the Koran? Would you allow it? What if they wanted to read the 'bible'?

  Sorry carla, I don't get your approach to 'Mein Kampf'. Are you suggesting that it should not be available to read? While I might not agree with the conclusions of the author, I would at least appreciate the freedom to read it for myself and draw my own conclusions. What about the Koran?

  so the wife was sick and stayed home from the meeting.

  she tuned in through the phone so she could listen.

  she had the phone on speaker and therefore i could overhear what was said.

  i work from home.

  between the time i drop the kids at school and pick them up, i was here.

  I don't think my wife is even going to ask me to go this year. She recently apologized for her remarks/screed last year when I said I wasn't going.

  Terrific movie monologue from "Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri'

  just watched this movie last night.. the premise of the title and film centers around the mother of young girl, who was raped, murdered, and set on fire by an unknown killer.

  convinced that the local police could be doing more, she erects billboards outside of town, calling into question the efforts of the town's beloved chief of police.

  this does not sit well with the other townspeople, and soon, the town priest comes to visit and admonish her.and after hearing him tell her if she came to church more regularly, she would be able to find the peace and resolution she needs over her daughter's death, she delivers this speech to him:.

  Yes that was good cc. Need to remember that for the next discussion with the wife. She is serving JHVH so it doesn't bother her what others who call themselves JW's are doing. Copying now to my JW quote folder.

  who among us has known a jw who has committed suicide.

  I knew one young brother in his early 20's that committed suicide. I had heard he was struggling with depression and I suspect that he didn't want to be a JW any longer but he felt bad abandoning his mother. His other, older brothers had already left. I also suspect that the only help he got was some encouragement to try and do more as a JW. He did try, really. He was very popular even outside the JW community (over 1000 attended his funeral and many were not JW's).

  It was also the most unusual JW funeral I have ever been to. In addition to the size of the crowd (standing room only, people outside in the parking lot - held at a funeral home) - the talk was totally off outline - they even played some of his recorded music (lots of crying form the young girls present).

  that was essentially my reply to a recent sms i got from the elder of the group i am supposed to be in, requesting a visit to encourage me and get to know me better.

  my wife has been attending english language meetings in warsaw for the last year or so (i have never been) and i think they are getting antsy about where i stand.

  i've met many of them at events my wife hosted at our house, but so far nobody has pressed me on the issue of my inactivity.. at one of the events, an elder mentioned that he'd heard i 'had been' a jw for many years and he was curious what first attracted me to the org.

  I think I know why they are now interested in getting to know me better and encouraging me. I fipped the calendar over to March the other day and saw where my wife had noted the upcoming memorial at the end of the month. That will probably be the next battle: are you going this year or not?
