I was invited by one of my wife's friends to go on a tour with her and her husband so they could get some feedback. They are getting some training to be tour guides and wanted to know how they were doing. Too much of this, too little of that. I said I had to work, Sorry.

@AA: I didn't ask but that is probably a good thing to know beforehand. I just assumed (I have no idea why) that the JW's were taking care of that. Now that I think about it, it seems like something they would 'not' do.

@Zing: There is a large, active, apostate army here in Poland. I might visit the convention site one day just to see them in action and introduce myself. Sometime back there were pictures posted here of them outside Polish Bethel handing out literature.
@joey: got that right!. Unfortunately, with the influx of western corporatism (KFC, Pepsi, etc) the younger generation is getting large. Very sad to see. Big difference from when I first came here.
@Fink: yes I should have put 'special training sessions' in quotes are included the /s tag.

Get ready for the big time! My wife has already been to several special training sessions this year in preparation for the big event. Several Saturday sessions at the Assembly hall in Warsaw. When I dropped her off I thought it was a regular convention there were so many volunteers there for training. She will be embedded with a group of 90 Russians. As in, staying at the hotel with them.
She showed me pics from Fb/Whatsup of stuff they are making for delegates. For the 'sisters' some kind of necklace in native motif. There are apparently 60 sisters working on this. Earings are possible if they have time! Guys are going to get custom bow ties. They are going all out on this.
I think we even have someone from the US staying with us during that time - early August. Time to start laying in adequate quantities of single-malt scotch.

Dubtown - its nearly the end of the month, remember to do your reports
by Dubtown in"everything we do in the truth is voluntary" ... something i heard many times.

I remember getting hammered about this too. I went thru a period where I was doing 6-10 hours/month and did not turn any time in because I was embarrased. I thought: if we are in end times, why am I only spending 6 hours in the 'life-saving' ministry? After I was counseled about this, I just started making stuff up but it was all good. The report was the only thing that mattered.

Dmitry,
Wouldn't it be better to find some sane diplomats that can actually negotiate and compromise for everyone's benefit? Now it seems we only have 'my way or the highway' types. Too much short term thinking for monetary gain resulting in long-term loss for the rest of us.
Didn't citizens of Crimea vote to return to Russia overwhelmingly (as it was always part of Russia). Who gave Crimea to Ukraine as a gift in what year?

@Cofty: the Us liberals apparently had some idea that the Russians unduly influenced the election in 2016. CNN, MSNBC, etc have been non-stop Russia/Russia/Russia. If you agree that that was a problem, can I ask if interference by Israel is OK? Have you studied US history since the end of WWII? Starting with the Dulles brothers, it was all downhill after that unless you were part of the club.
Can you please point to a country that is not run by criminals in one form or another? I ask, because I would like to move there. Gov't IMHO should just provide basic services and not try to enforce some idiotic ideology on its citizens (assuming they have citizens and not just consumers).
I'm not for or against any 'ism'.

Cofty,
What is wrong with trying to establish better terms with Russia? Please don't tell me you are on the #RussiaRussiaRussia team. IMHO the US and the UK have the most sclerotic leadership in the entire world. They are both simply living in a world that doesn't exit anymore.

Please get real. Russia has no need to invade Ukraine. they will implode on their own. Just like the US. Why would they even want to? If they wanted to, Russia would be on the Polish border in less than 1 week. Is the US going to start WWIII over Ukraine? Not likely. NATO doesn't even enter the equation.
On the other hand, I think a comedian would be a good leader. They can ask the difficult questions that 'serious' candidates can't. I'm hoping for cooler heads (as I live in Poland). I don't appreciate Poland sucking up to the US. It just paints a target on us.
I think it makes more sense for regional powers to find some way to cooperate (ok, I can dream , right?). I understand the historical animosity between countries like Germany, Poland and Russia - but these are your most likely trading partners. Find a way to make it work. If Germany can work with Russia, Poland should just get over it and do the same. I think they want to, we just have to get rid of current gov't (Kaczynski).
