FAC if it's making you ill do something. Google your questions and research the answers people give. You are right, you have to find your own purpose. Have you just tried putting questions into Google and following threads of research? It takes work. Well done giving up drink, I am very impressed. Now look for your answers and find your purpose. I found mine, it was hard work. Get to it before you make yourself ill. Good luck!

Why Are You Here?
by Believer ini'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.

There are also many that don't like to let statements that are unsupported by evidence stand unchallenged.
But Joe we all know those statements are unsupported by evidence. Everyone here can read them and see that. We don't always need someone to wave a red flag and say unsupported statement here!! Sometimes it's tedious, especially when someone is new. Let them at least settle in I say.

No Believer the GB are protecting their rock star lifestyle, they don't give a shit about you, never forget that.

l wouldn't compare them to the GB, that's way too strong. I do think some of them genuinely think they are protecting us.

Not all of us do that. I'm an atheist but I think everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. I don't mind if people express their beliefs as long as they don't expect me to join them. A very small number have set themselves up as guardians of the forum as if they think we can't listen to believers and decide for ourselves. You will have to be tough if you want to remain and still talk about belief. Remember people here have been badly hurt by beliefs so members talking about them pushes their buttons.
One reason I kept coming back was to find out what's new in JW land.
Yes me too because I have family still trapped in this cult. I also try to support other people, particularly with moving on.

TheWonderofYou, I hope so, I haven't seen a butterfly for weeks, too damn cold and wet. But my garden is full of bees, so I'm doing my bit.

Ooh two for the price of one! This is the Borage I grew from seed. They are just starting to flower. I love those blue star flowers and so will the butterflies and bees. You see I did listen to you Bonsai. I've also just planted out the Bee Balm, Monarda so they will love that too.

LisaRose sorry you lost some plants, I know how upsetting that can be. Also I can relate to losing the Pine tree. I had an Ash tree pollarded in February because it was bigger than the house and they grow really fast. For months it looked awful, they didn't even leave twigs on it just three branches. I was so upset, I was sure they'd killed it but at the end of May it finally started to sprout. I really got down about that tree I thought I'd lost it but it's going to survive.
GreatTeacher my hydrangeas are nowhere near flowering. We've had a cold, very wet June. It's funny we're desperate for sun and you're dreading it getting too hot. Funny old planet!
