But you've got to wonder how they were told by the prophet in 1980 not to follow along with the Book of Mormon in church. Who's getting channelled messages? Isn't that weird SBF? My mother's sister married a Mormon. When he died he was buried with his first wife because they are sealed or something to spend eternity together. That together with the huge LDS genealogy database so they can baptise the dead by proxy are just some of the odd teachings.

Have you just tried putting questions into Google and following threads of research? It takes work. Well done giving up drink, I am very impressed. Now look for your answers and find your purpose. There are also many that don't like to let statements that are unsupported by evidence stand unchallenged.
But Joe we all know those statements are unsupported by evidence. Everyone here can read them and see that. We don't always need someone to wave a red flag and say unsupported statement here!! Sometimes it's tedious, especially when someone is new. Let them at least settle in I say.

Not all of us do that. I'm an atheist but I think everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. I don't mind if people express their beliefs as long as they don't expect me to join them. A very small number have set themselves up as guardians of the forum as if they think we can't listen to believers and decide for ourselves. You will have to be tough if you want to remain and still talk about belief. Remember people here have been badly hurt by beliefs so members talking about them pushes their buttons.
One reason I kept coming back was to find out what's new in JW land.
Yes me too because I have family still trapped in this cult. I also try to support other people, particularly with moving on.

Ooh two for the price of one! This is the Borage I grew from seed. They are just starting to flower. I love those blue star flowers and so will the butterflies and bees. You see I did listen to you Bonsai. I've also just planted out the Bee Balm, Monarda so they will love that too.
