Huge caterpillar about two inches long. The butterflies are coming. Although it's probably a moth, hawks head or something.

Start A Butterfly Garden!
by Bonsai intime to take a break from debating religion.
take in a breath of fresh air and be healed by the wonders of nature around you.. how many of you have a garden?
how many have a nice flower patch to go with your vegetable garden?

Any regrets whilst you were in the Org
by Tallon inthe biggest regret i have is of 'shunning' persons who were disfellowshipped and for 'marking' ones deemed as bad association.. there's no way i can approach these people to ask them for forgiveness as i've emigrated to another country however, by this post i'd like it to be known..

Yeah that I didn't get out at 16 when I thought the ransom sacrifice doctrine didn't made sense. Note to self, if something doesn't make sense it doesn't matter if millions believe it, reject it.

Hottest Topics - New Sort by Rank Option
by Simon ini have just enabled a new sort feature which should appear as a new tab called "rank" on any of the topic listing pages (by forum or subject within it).. there's also a "hottest" link in the main nav.. what does it do?.
well, think of it like active topics ... the latest things go to the top.
except instead of anyone being able to make something go straight to the top simply by posting on it, now the ranking is based on a combination of things including how many likes and dislikes they have received combined with when the posts were made.. what should happen is that likes for new posts will give them a boost as will replies but over time their effect will diminish.

The worldwide fear policy....
by The Rebel init seems the media heavily underline the dark side in everything.
yes there are really bad problems in the world and they need to be addressed.
but we also need to keep on the positive.

Not just the news media although I agree they are very negative. Advertisers like to terrify us saying things like there are more germs on our vegetable chopping board than on our toilet seat.
No sooner did scientists get us to lower our laundry temperature to 30 degrees for the sake of the environment than advertisers were telling us our laundry may look clean but it could be full of germs washed at lower temperatures and trying to sell us anti-bacterial for our laundry!
We are made to feel ashamed of our cell phones, TVs, cars, tablets, homes, furniture if they are not the latest and best. The negativity is endless. Don't get me started on Xmas advertising, your whole house is rubbish and everything needs replacing before you can invite friends and relatives in for a meal and socialising.
The media are shameless trying to benefit from other's misery. Interviewing grieving people in war zones and dragging every bit of sadness from them. The world is so much better than it used to be. Often news stories are dropped immediately as soon as things improve. You often find yourself thinking what happened about that news item a week ago but the media have lost interest if a problem has a positive ending.

Complaining over post dislikes / downvotes
by Simon inlet's be clear: people have the right to like or dislike what they want - that is why the option is there.
as long as they are not doing it in a malicious way to retaliate or game the system, there is no policing the votes.
if you get a down-vote, live with it.

I`m more interested in the replies I get from my posts
No you're not the odd one out Smiddy, I'm more interested in actual replies to my post, positive or negative. I would rather someone disagree with me and tell me why, then we could discuss it. When you get dislikes you don't know if it's because you annoyed them on another thread, you had the nerve to disagree with their favourite poster ( there's a lot of that going on ) or they actually have a valid disagreement.
Edit: lol to the person disliking every post on this thread.

Poor Sisters
by Darryl ini really felt for you sisters i mean i really did.
when you showed up at the sunday meeting and found out the subject of the talk was going to be -and i can't quite remember the exact wording- but something to the effect of marriage and headship, or honoring and obeying your husband, or something like that how many of you wanted to jump right back in your car and head home.
i mean 45 straight minutes of beating down you poor ladies and telling you that you are not worthy of making one decision, taking the lead in anything, don't question the man be obedient and keep quiet.

Sometimes my daughter complains about patronising people and I just want to laugh and say you've no idea what it's like to be patronised within an inch of your sanity. Darryl since leaving I have never been treated that badly by a man, never.

After Jesus fasted for 40 days, he was tempted by a man (not a fallen angel).
by quincemyles inafter jesus fasted for 40 days, he was tempted by a man (not an evil angel) to turn stones into bread, jump from the temple and bow.
the tester was a pharisee of the ruling class.
jehovah's witnesses believe the tester to have been an evil spirit or leader of fallen angels named satan the devil.

you haven't earned the right to look down on anybody
Really? We can earn the right to look down on people?
