I'm good thanks. Where are you thinking of travelling to, HC?
Travelling is my passion too. I'm going to Norway in four weeks and I'm thinking of going to Bavaria in the summer. I love mountains and nobody does castles like the Bavarians.

climate change ... who doesn't believe it?
crazy fools and science deniers ... right?.
it seems like it's become the new religion, the new orthodoxy, that must be accepted and believed as gospel and preached to all.. is it ok to be skeptical?.
Millions of people not a few thousand. I hope your economy can cope with all those ex-fisherman living inland.
I believe eighty-five percent of Australians live on the coast becasue it's too hot anywhere else.

The earth didnt always have polar ice caps. Must it have polar ice caps for us to survive? - Simon
If you live in an island nation yes!
If you don't want to be flooded dont live near a river or the sea. - Simon
Seriously? See my previous comment!

Simon I need to clarify, do you mean you don't think climate change is happening or you think it is but we are not responsible for it or capable of changing it?
Do you think the scientific reports of the polar ice melting are faked or that it's real and just part of a cycle that happens every few thousand years that we can do nothing about?
that is absolutely the number one rule that i resent.. i feel sorry for some of those poor dependent minded jws who can't find anyone to marry.
all because they were only allowed to be with witnesses.
what a bunch of boloney!
Do you think it's stupid that JWs can't date regular people?
Yes. Inbreeding is never a good thing.
jw.org states that they are the true religion.
i was told that it is written in the bible that jw.org is the true religion.
the following is the "alleged" evidence that was presented to me:.
No I think the Plymouth Brethren are the true religion becasue Paul keeps calling Jesus' true followers brothers in his letters in the Bible and Brethren means brothers. So they must have the truth, right?
Wait! I think it must be the Pentecostals because Pentecost was where the true believers got the Holy Spirit and that word is from the Bible, so they must be the true ones.
Hang on, the Baptists believe in baptism and that's in the Bible. John the Baptist baptised Jesus so they must be the true religion!
Or maybe it's the save the whale people becasue there was a whale in the Jonah story and it did the will of God by swallowing Jonah to teach him a lesson ..........
my doctor says that i need to have an operation to fuse the bones in my neck.
he said that after it's done i'll never look back!.
alcohol was my father's answer to everything.
This is a true story, heard by a colleague of mine.
In the UK if you're caught speeding you can attend a speed awareness workshop. You still have to pay the fine but you don't get any points on your licence.
A young man at the workshop at one point in the morning said, 'don't you think it would be a good idea if cars had something in them to tell you what speed it's doing?'
How the heck did this guy get a licence!
i'm not sure why this memory popped up, and i was wondering if any others, when they were still active jw had dealings with a pyramid scheme involving other witnesses in the organization?
at the time it was 1993, and my husband and i were still newlyweds.
once in a while, we would attend a neighboring congregation because that was where he grew up, and some of his family was still attending there at the time.
My brother did something called Kleeneze in the UK, I don't know if that's still going. I think he had to buy all the products first. It was when he was pioneering but it didn't last long, he only pioneered so he could go to bethel.
i am still enjoying the luxury of weekends to do whatever i want....but....out of habit i am still obsessed with looking at the weather for saturday mornings.
rain on a saturday morning was a very rare treat and we got the morning off, although as group leader, i still had to go to the group just in case somebody turned up.. does anybody else still watch the weekend forecast with interest?
(i am aware that this is probably a uk thing as we are obsessed with the weather ha ha).
Exelder, are you watching the weather this morning? Snow here! It's supposed to be gone tomorrow. I hope so, I hate driving in snow. Not enough grit on British roads.

Of course weekends are for fun now. It was fine with a clear sky when I woke before seven and then the torrential rain came later. Now it's sunny but with strong winds. Everything in one morning! Still, I love this country with all its crazy weather. I might get out and do a bit of gardening, but then again .....
