Why are witnesses all so highly stressed?

It's so stressful going to a KH when you feel the people there are not on your side. You feel it's all smiling face at the front and knife behind the back. Added to that the constant busywork and no proper weekends to rest, people are just burnt out. -

Yes my pond is full of tadpoles, Half banana. I love rhubarb, thanks for the recipe, sounds delicious.
Yuck my cats catch mice and frogs but that's rather horrible.

Any thought behind your " Avatar"
by The Rebel ini think that's the correct phrase?
anyway when i first came here, that little picture that "the rebel" hides behind, was a self portrait of a very sad man, who simply had too much knowledge.
now i feel after 7 months here, i should repaint that " avetor" give some happiness to the eyes, and a contented smile to the lips.. in short my " avetor" was a self portrait of a man with too much knowledge.

Mine is a photo I took in Lake Como, Italy. A symbol if you like of my first independent step, a holiday on my own. Xanthippe was the wife of Socrates. I don't agree with everything Plato said but he was my introduction to philosophy.
I started reading Plato before I left the JWs. I learnt that the Greeks were trying to work out how to be a good person 500 years before Jesus and none of them claimed to be the son of God, they just used logic. I told my mother what I was reading. She was worried and thought it would take me out of the religion. She was right.

Beautiful photos Kaik. I love Lily Of the Valley. Not much happening here yet now my daffs have finished. We had hailstones the size of peas yesterday! My bluebells are out though. My cat thinks they're beautiful.

So no cards again yesterday from my daughter's uncle and aunts, my JW siblings, for her 21st Birthday. 😀 No I didn't expect any but I just wonder if they even know she's twenty-one now. Do her cousins, one of whom has a baby of his own now? She couldn't come home from uni because It's a long way and she has finals in two weeks so she celebrated with her friends and when she comes home in May we are going on holiday together.
She'll be getting her head back in her books today. I missed her yesterday but I'm okay with it, I'm glad she wants to get a good degree, she's worked hard enough. Anyway there's presents here from my friend and my cousin waiting for her and she took away gifts from her grandparents last time she was home. That's it really, thanks for listening. I don't feel sorry for myself by the way, I'm just sharing. I'm glad she can celebrate her Birthday AND go to university!

A lucid dream last night...exposes JW thinking
by HowTheBibleWasCreated infor anyone who understands lucid dreaming this story will come to no surprise.
if not lucid dreaming is defined as a dream where you know you are dreaming and have control of the dream.. last night during a dream i was at my uncles place for some reason.
my uncle is an elder, raised ia jw, pioneered in quebec in the 60s and is often giving talks at conventions.

if you were really lucid you'd have realised it wasn't your uncle and tried to do something much more interesting. Try flying, walking on water or zooming to the top of the Himalayas. Or try and see numbers 😉 -

Matthew 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.
-Did this mean that Jesus pre human memories were restored or did the clouds just open up?
Well it reads like a bloody great pigeon landed on Jesus' head. -

And yes they mentioned shows with "humans with God-like qualities."
Instead worship the ones whose 'brother' calms the storms and who hope to meet Jesus one day. Strange their big brother with all his power can't seem to give them money so little kids have to give up ice-cream in order to donate.

Starting threads
by Landy inany chance of people resisting the urge to start new threads when the subject is already being discussed?.
the prince threads are a good example.
instead of one interesting to read thread with lots of replies you end up with forty threads with one or two replies.

Personally I think this thread is princeless. I'm very bored with all the repetition. Great idea of Simon's to flag up if there's already a thread about the subject you're about to post. -
