Yeah I'm looking forward to it. We won't see a super moon this big again until 2034.

- I know that I can be good without being told to be so, several times a week.
- I see people from all over the world as they are: People doing their best with what they have.
- I understand that the ultimate sin is not sex. Hypocrisy, lying, a cold heart are actually worst.
- I love these thoughts Steph. Thanks for your experience.
- I have also learnt that most people are good, just living their lives looking after their families. People all over the world just want to be loved, have enough to eat and a roof over their heads.
- There's also a huge amount of people giving their time and money to voluntary organisations and charities trying to do their bit. I never think this is a waste of time because there's 7 billion of us. It's got to be better than standing next to a magazine display waiting for God!

Sam Harris on Trump - The Most Powerful Clown
by cofty inharris is at his incisive best in his latest podcast.. he likens the situation to being on an aeroplane where the pilot has died and somebody with no experience of flying has grabbed the controls.
we should all be committed to his success.
prize for the best line goes to - "caligula with a iphone".. even if you love trump and despise harris you should appreciate his clarity.. waking up with sam harris....

I listened to the end and he makes a lot of sense. I hope he does gather some good people around him to help him fly this plane. Narcissists do sometimes mellow when they get the power they crave as he says but we can all think of examples of those who did not.

Org Is RACIST! Towards Sisters Of COLOR In Particular--IMO!
by HiddlesWife ini'm sorry--i'm getting this very sensitive vibe that the org (mainly those at the top) don't have any respect--forget about love--for sisters of color.
i'm coming to this conclusion from a couple of videos on jw broadcasting about single sisters.. after watching this video: .

When they demand that you are submissive to all men, do not give an opinion on anything and are treated like a second class citizen it is very oppressive.

My Story
by SamTheGinge inso, i joined just yesterday after coming across this forum looking at beth sarim, and i though that i would share my story with you.
it will no doubt be very similar to a lot of others, but it's a way of getting to know me at least.. i was brought up as witness from the age of 4 years old, my dad picked up the 'truth' from one of his friends in the pub and it seemed to go from there, he would quickly get baptised and progress to becoming a ministerial servant and then an elder.
from a young age i wanted to be like my dad and become a pioneer, a ministerial servant and then an elder... perhaps even becoming a co. the world, spiritually speaking, was my oyster.

Welcome! I'm glad you've got your own family now and have found real happiness and freedom. Will you have a Wiccan wedding, will you have to be sky clad? Best wait til summer 😀

Why Is it the Girls who Hang in There?
by snugglebunny inhaving seen many, many people leave the org over the years, i have to say that, when it comes to married couples, it's almost always the man who makes the first move to leave.
conversely, when it comes to being converted into the witnesses, more often than not it's the wife who joins up first.
although that wasn't the case with my own parents, my father became converted and my mother followed very reluctantly..

If women are treated badly why don't they just leave? Because they become depressed and develop poor self esteem in that religion so they doubt their own doubts. They doubt their ability to decide what is true and false, that's why.
