Serving where the need is nicer

so there isn't a congregation in my town, they come from the congregation about five miles away about twice a year to do fs.. this morning i was driving out of the town on the country roads and there were four jws (obvious by men with briefcases and women in very long dresses).

they seemed to be walking to the next place, a village about 15 minutes walk away.. why not drive?

they must have left the cars in my town!

It's all quite sad really, on reflection. - Alive!

It is a sad waste of life, especially on a sunny Saturday. I remember when I was a JW calling on a mag route on a Saturday with my young husband and he said 'what are you doing wandering around the streets on a hot day like this? Get your shorts on and get in the garden!'.

Well now I do! Yesterday I was driving to a national trust garden to have a nice walk round there then a coffee in their lovely cafe. I just wish my sister would leave the cult and do the same. She shouldn't have angina, she's very slim and a vegetarian! Stress is so bad for you, that cult is killing you. B please leave and enjoy your summer.

Yeah I agree Half banana they're trapped in a mind control religion that bleeds the joy from their lives, why not enjoy the countryside on a summer day. I don't blame them.

I suppose it's the double think that baffles me. Jehoover watches you so shun loved ones or even let them die from want of a blood transfusion or you won't get into the New system.

But their God doesn't care if they cheat on fs and lie when they report it.

As I've said before I think many don't believe in God they only believe in the GB who will punish them by kicking them out of the club.

Yeah I guess so ToesUp but walking off into the countryside where there's not a house for miles! Were they going to walk for an hour say nope no houses then walk back and count two hours?

This morning I was driving out of the town on the country roads and there were four JWs (obvious by men with briefcases and women in very long dresses). They seemed to be walking to the next place, a village about 15 minutes walk away.

Why not drive? They must have left the cars in my town! Then I thought okay there's one cottage down a very long lane on the way perhaps they're going there first. All four? Counting their time?

Anyway I drove on and there were some more JWs walking along the country lane past the village. No houses for miles! Weird.

Same here Blondie, I imagined living in the New System miles away from anyone. Growing food, having kids and waiting a thousand years for them to become loving people. Eventually the hateful attitude broke us and we left.

Angels are Neuter Gender According to JW`s

what about the bible ,does that agree with the jw theology ?.

therefore angels are sexless ,yet we find in the bible on a few occasions where they have lusted after women ,taken a mans form and had sex with women.. .on one occasion producing hybrids half human half angel.. on other occasions they just wanted to satisfy their sexual desires.?

These angels taking human form and having sex with women is no different to Greek mythology. Gods taking human form and having sex with women to create demigods, half God half human with superpowers. Achilles being the most famous example. Just like the Nephilim were giants and could kill humans easily 'fellers of men' I seem to remember.

In fact Zeus, the old lecher, came down as a bull to rape Europa and a swan to have sex with Leda, human form wasn't always necessary. Talking snakes and donkeys are not exclusive to the Bible. I first started reading Greek and Roman mythology in my late twenties while still a JW and I found it so similar to bible stories it felt freaky.

This is why they don't want people to get an education because as soon as you start to read other mythology you see the similarities with the bible stories.

she now he met a nice new chap and got married.. both get interested walking past a trolly full of washtowels (hard to believe i know but stick with me).

My local cinema has just shown On the Basis of Sex, the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She fought to change laws for equal rights for men and women. She was appointed the second ever woman Supreme Court judge in the US.

Brilliant film, a woman who went to Harvard law school, raised two children and coped with a husband who developed testicular cancer not long after they married. It made me exhausted just thinking about it and yet still she couldn't get a job as a lawyer for years and worked at a college lecturer instead. Those law firms who wouldn't empty a woman who later became a SCOTUS judge! Great story.

What would happen IF ...? If the New Light Crowd and the Old Light crowd ...?

what would happen?

(a thought experiment) what if it were possible to gather bible students from pastor russell's day in a large auditorium with the rutherford era followers, and then bring in the brother knorr (my era) crowd along with present day jw's and get them chatting with each other?all that new light with all that old light (which thought it had new light) would be in for a shock.would they humble themselves and decide present day governing body doctrine changes and tv style begging for money was acceptable?what do you think?i think it would be chaos and denunciation.

i could be wrong, buti don't think so..
