contrary to popular belief and what society and the media will portray satanism, devil worship and witchcraft are 3 very independent systems of belief, .

sure, to those who are afraid of looking into books dealing with the occult, for fear of being possessed or what have you, i write this as a vent because it makes me laugh when i hear people assume that the three are the same, they aren't, .

and the reality is that even though the three get bunched up as the same, many times it is the ignorance of the practitioners which keeps the ignorance alive.

The spiritual worldview discussed here is quite similar to what i have arrived at. I'm not a satanist, i use this name to bug the fundys. I was a loyal jw for 30 years. Turfed out for posing too many questions. Then 2 years of pentle type christanity, until i found out the bible was a load of crap, mostly. Off on my own, i read a bunch of nde experiences, then some eastern philosophies. Taoist energy manipulation may be similar to magic. I know it is exercise for psychic abilities. I feel a unity with nature, earth, the universe. The satanist principle of being yourself has been my goal for about 2 years. This has been tough. Basically, i lost myself in an abusive childhood and then what was left from that was lost in the wt cause. I'm still looking for myself. Ramble, ramble. I'll stop. I enjoyed reading this thread.

i was raised a jehovah's witness all my life, though i don''t go any more, not till i fall on my head and not afraid to ask questions does this particular question come up.. what is gods name?.

people act as though everyone in the world speaks english, what about the third of the worlds population in china could it be that is his real name at this late date?

why do we assume that it has to be "jehovah" when it could just as easily be how they call it in china, or india, or arabia, or south america anywhere that there is a large population?.

A very good point. If one studies mithraism a bit one sees many elements that came to be known as christian.

Another source from which christianity borrowed is zerostrianism. I found the avesta on the net. I ran across several paragraphs that were almost identical to the bible book known as revelation or apocalypse. The avesta predates revelation by many years. It's plain who copied whom. If christians only knew!

Meanwhile, satan has been going all out on the hard work that jesus said his followers would do: healing people of all sorts of maladies, expelling demons, getting bitten by snakes with no ill effects, drinking poison with no ill effects, making mountains fly through the air?, ressurecting dead people, feeding the hungry, visiting people in jails, walking on water, levitating, and other powerful works in the name of jesus. The only work jehovah is able to accomplish is keeping the wt society going with the 6 million door to door salesforce. And that after 1700 years of practical failure to keep any of his own on this earthly ball. Comparing these two corporations: jehovahs and satans and their accomplishments, without prejudice, which has done more good?

The wt states we don't need miracles since we have the complete bible. It seems that confusion has greatly increased since the completion of the book. True, the catholic church managed to keep some semblance of order for 1500 years or so, but, with the reformation all hell broke loose. If ever there was a need for miracles to demontrate god given authority, there is now. All the wt predictions have proven false. They desperately need to start up the miracle trade again. They could really decimate us apostates with their powerful works.

This brings up some questions. Is satan really a spiritual christian and nobody knows? Did jesus trick him into becoming jesus' deputy? What has jehover been doing these last few thousand years? Why is the sky blue?

i've been reading this forum page for about a year.

at first i thought it was a meeting place for practicing jw's but after reading many posts found that most people here have been hurt or don't see things eye to eye with the wt org.

i am not a jw but i have been associating with them for about 3 yrs.

Beware of trying to apply wt standards to this group. Wt likes to say that apostates have no unity, are not happy, are bitter etc. These are standards created by the wt by which they have chosen to measure themselves and their members. Trying to get people like yourself to measure others who are not jws, especially 'apostates', by these wt created standards is totally rediculous. I'm not saying you are doing this, but i have seen it tried.

Many xjws are happy, some aren't. If you like uinity, you should join the wt, or another cult. If you like unity with some fun mixed in, join the mormonms. If you like unity with some spiritualty, join the mooneys. On this board people are attempting work through their cultic overlays, find and be themselves. Basically, each one could develop their own individual 'religion', if he\she so chooses. Don't worry, god will not be mad.

It's a good question that one can attempt to answer in many ways.

Biblically, sawthelight is correct. Yahweh is the correct pronounciation. You can verify this in the encyclopedia judaeica and the catholic encyclopedia. 'Jehovah' is a later invention by a catholic monk. I forget the date. It could be like only 400 years ago.

Biblically, yahweh is jesus. This can be seen by comparing isa 44:24 yahweh emphasises that he made everything by himself, with the new testament descriptions of jesus\logos. John 1:1 and coll 1:16 exclaims that jesus made everything. So, the conclusion is very simple.

If you want to let god out of the bible, so to speak, then consider what francois has stated. Taoism is interesting in its study of 'god'. Tao means 'the way'. This is interesting because the movement that jesus started was also called 'the way'-acts9:2, 19:9, 22:4, 24:14- at first. Paul and his followers came to be called 'christians' first about 40 50 years later-acts11:26. Contrary to popular opinion, jesus did not start christianity.

Oh yes, yahweh = jesus, except that they have mostly opposite personalities. For example, yahweh stones adultresses but jesus protects them.

God is like sex: there are people that talk about it and people who do it. Once you feel a unity with god, it's hard to express. Jesus tried to express it, no one understood, including the ones who wrote about jesus. The name is superfluous - to god anyway.

A serious question, the way i see it, is: If the faithful and discreet slave is made up of anointed ones, then why are not anointed ones called in from where ever in the world they might be so they can continue the governing body activity? These anointed all supposedly have gods spirit, so any one of them could channel the new truths from jesus, jehovah or whoever. The last i heard there were still around 8000 'anointed'. If 'jehovah' is really leading this thing with his spirit, why do they pass over 8000 spirit bearing jws, and use non-spiritual 'earthly' earthlings? I think this shows that the spirit of god has about as much to do with directing this org as.... You know what i mean.
