This is a compelling theory. If it was true, the flavians not only ensnared a lot of jews, early on, and not only all of the roman empire, but also continue to hold a sizable partion of the globe captive, today. You could say that the flavians were geniuses.

i personally regularly went for temporary work at brooklyn then was assigned to the farm for a year and a half.
it was... one of the most bizaare experiences of my life.. so i wrote it all down (finally, after some 15 years) so i won't bore anyone on here with the details of the story - because bethel doesn't show up until chapter 15... and for you straight folks, it gets a bit gay in two places... but nothing gross.

i feel like jehovah has cursed me some days and others i feel he is using me to direct others out the front and back door of our kingdom hall.
here's my update on our perfect congregation, we are losing publishers monthly with meeting attendance down below one hundred during the weekday meeting.
should i feel guilty for mistreating the miserable mentally ill and chronically ill publishers who are milking the public welfare system, nto because they do not deserve anything better but because they bring only their appetite to our spiritual banquet while we elderettes study the watchtower and wow the publishers with our thirty second polished comments to bring praise to jehovah.
When i was in, i tended to follow the wt directions to be in the center of the flock. In other words, be where the stuff is happening. Where the growth is great, i was there, high speed king hall construction, i was there, early morning street work w the pioneers, i was there, coffee and donuts, i was there.
Welcome back, btw. I can tell the assembly has moved you to action.

there was an short article in my local paper today that started out with "mormons expand use of technology".
i am horrible at scanning so i will quote some of the article, it said "the common images of mormon missionaries has long been two young men wearing white shirts and ties walking through neighborhoods, knocking door-to-door.
but in a few years, that image may be replaced by one of young mormons sitting with an ipad, typing messages on facebook.
It will be interesting to see what the mormon church does. Imo, the mormons are more progressive than the wt is. Perhaps, the wt is also watching the mormon church.
