Back in the early-mid 90's there was a bar that every Bethelite would frequent, incl. my brother, up intil the dreaded morning spanking that put the lid on it. Does anyone remember the name of the bar, I mean gathering place? I would ask my brother but we have a little problem, he won't speak to me...

Apologies, did not mean to sound so harsh. The problem with certain types of humor is that it does not respect what the person is saying or feeling, hence something that is very serious to them can easily grow into ridicule and sarcasm as we have seen happen before. Especially subjects where one is dealing with a bad experience like mentioned in this thread. Would we like to be humorous about someone's exp. with a pedophile? Enough said on that. It is true that one's imagination can be playing tricks on someone at times. And there are many stories out there to substantiate that. However, what if you have other witnesses there who experience the very same thing, how do you explain it? Also, if there is a force of evil vs. good like you say, why would spirits not play with people and pretend they are someone they are not? At either rate I do not believe in the WT spin on the demons either. But there is something out there that is un-deniable and a force that more than one person has had to reckon with.
Very intriguing subject to say the least...

I have over 13 years of Full-Time service. My brother who was at Bethel for 10 years and I would talk about what kinda' of room we could get with my seniority, for sure a room in the Towers and a nice room at Bossert. When I was there I lived in the Standish with a Big Bathroom and nice view, the sisters were so jealous. Now that I am out what will 13 years of Full-Time service get me? Hmmmmm....

Being out of the organization has afforded me to do a lot of research and study of this subject. What I am finding out is that the New Testament was never considered inspired until the 3rd or 4th centuries. In fact there are over 150 books that were being circulated around that time that were considered just as important if not more than what we have in the Bible today. The book of Revelation was considered by many of the 'church fathers' who put the Bible together as a book of someone gone mad. It was not totally considered a part of the Bible cannon until 400 years ago. Also there was a Revelation of Peter and Paul as well? Where are these books?
What I am finding out is that the Christian faith as it is known today is a sham and by-product of the Roman empire to suppress the Jews. In fact that book Ven mentions 'Dead Sea Scrolls Deception' alludes to the fact that Paul might have been an agent for the Roman empire to promote this new found faith called Christianity. It was meant to control people, and it has done a very good job if I have to say so myself.

Don't put someone's experience down just because you have not experienced it. It is true that some people do sensationalize and some people do have mental issues to deal with. But not everyone. Unless you have gone through an experience like this you have no room to talk...

Having experienced the death of a spouse to cancer, I understand your pain and sorrow. The feeling of helplessness, if only you could take their pain away. The day's seem so bleak, the nights so long, not even a sunny day makes any difference. At this point all you can hope for is comfort not only for your grandmother who is suffering but also for yourself. Don't be afraid to receive the comfort and the support from friends. It is this support that got me through.

Without wanting to get into any longwinded discussion I would like to state the following: I believe in a Creator and I know a spirit world exist. I have come to learn that the Bible is a fabrication. Christianity as we know it today was started by the Romans to control the Jews. In fact there is discussion that perhaps Paul was an agent working for the Romans in this cause. There never existed a man known as Jesus Christ. Basically all religions were created to control people and keep them from exploring their true self.
But the Truth is out there...
